Hidden Gems: Meet Sandra Rebeor of Well2Thrive

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Rebeor.

Hi Sandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Germany alongside my older sister and my twin, Tina. My journey to the United States began when I met my husband, Rob, while he was stationed there in the Army. After two years of dating in Germany, I decided to give life in the U.S. a try when Rob received orders back to North Carolina. I worked at a university during the day and earned my Bachelor’s degree at night, determined to build a future with purpose.

We later moved to Washington, D.C., where I joined the military myself and discovered my passion for disease prevention and health promotion. I was stunned to learn how many chronic diseases can be prevented through lifestyle – something that hit close to home. Growing up, my dad suffered from multiple chronic conditions, including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, Type II Diabetes, and Alzheimer’s. Watching his health decline was incredibly difficult, and losing him in 2018 left a deep impact. His journey, combined with my growing love for health and wellness, fueled my commitment to continue learning and serving others. I went on to earn my Master’s in Health Sciences and my Doctorate in Health and Wellness Psychology.

Along the way, many people encouraged me to turn my passion into something bigger. Their support – and the experiences that shaped me – ultimately led to the creation of Well2Thrive. Today, I’m honored to help women understand their wellbeing, reduce stress, and build sustainable habits so they can feel well, supported, and like themselves again.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe that nothing worthwhile is easy, and my life has reflected that. Leaving my family in Germany and starting over in a new country came with real challenges – language barriers, homesickness, learning new cultural norms, and building a community from scratch. With Rob’s support, the military community, and patient colleagues and educators, I navigated those obstacles and turned them into opportunities to grow.

I’ve always viewed challenges through the lens of possibility. When I opened a group fitness studio in Tampa in 2009 and had to close it a year later, it was heartbreaking. I felt like I had failed. But that experience led me to a connection that opened the door to teaching at a university, where I eventually became a full‑time faculty member and later a leader overseeing curriculum and student success. Those years – teaching, mentoring, celebrating students at commencement – were deeply meaningful.

During that time, while raising my children, Jackie and Luke, I earned my doctorate degree at night. Studying until 2 a.m. after the kids were asleep wasn’t easy, but it made me more resilient and reminded me that perseverance creates its own momentum.

Later, when I began offering community stress‑management workshops, I saw how profoundly this work impacted people and their families. That’s when I knew I wanted to build something that could help even more women. Well2Thrive was born from all of these experiences and determination, purpose, and the belief that every challenge carries an opportunity if we’re willing to look for it, played a key role.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I founded Well2Thrive because I saw how many women were quietly carrying stress, exhaustion, and the weight of daily responsibilities without the support they truly needed. I also saw how many women struggle during midlife while trying to manage hormonal shifts. I have experienced these myself and can relate. I make it my mission to help women get well, be well, stay well, and ultimately thrive through practical, science‑based, emotionally supportive wellness services designed for real life.

With my background in behavioral health and doctoral‑level training, I blend psychological insight with holistic wellness coaching to help women understand the full picture of what’s influencing their wellbeing – mind, body, emotions, stress, environment, and daily patterns. My approach is compassionate and grounded, meeting women exactly where they are and helping them build sustainable habits around sleep, nutrition, movement, boundaries, nervous system regulation, and mindset.

One of the core offerings I’m most proud of is The Thrive Journey Experience, a six‑session guided wellness program that helps women gently reconnect with their energy, reduce stress, and create meaningful change over time. Each session builds on the last, giving women space to pause, reflect, and grow with support, community, and practical tools they can use every day. It’s designed to help women feel like themselves again, one step at a time.

Well2Thrive also offers personalized coaching, self‑paced programs, and workshops. In 2027, we will also be organizing retreats. Every service is created to help women reclaim their energy, feel supported, and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels doable rather than overwhelming.

I’ve watched women come in feeling depleted and unsure where to begin. Through steady guidance and individualized tools, they rediscover confidence, balance, and a sense of self they thought they had lost. Seeing that transformation – from burnout to genuine wellbeing – is what motivates me every single day.

At the heart of Well2Thrive is a simple message: You deserve to feel well, supported, and like yourself again. And I’m here to help women do exactly that.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t really believe in luck or at least, don’t place lots of value on good luck or bad luck as that puts us in a “passive” or external frame of mind. In my life and in my business, what has mattered far more are opportunity, connection, choice, and agency. I believe we create momentum through the decisions we make, the people we build relationships with, and the willingness to show up for ourselves even when life feels heavy. Well2Thrive exists because of intentional effort, aligned opportunities, and the belief that women deserve support that’s compassionate, evidence‑based, and practical. For me, it’s never been about luck – it’s been about purpose, commitment, and choosing to build something meaningful for the women I serve.
