Hidden Gems: Meet Samantha Moore of Maci’s Pour Custom Bartending

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Moore.

Hi Samantha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been bartending for over 13 years, and from the very beginning, I’ve always loved the connection it creates—bringing people together, sparking conversation, and being a part of meaningful moments. For years, I had the idea to start a mobile bar, but like many people, I doubted myself and stayed within my comfort zone.

Everything changed in 2020 when my family and I lost our stillborn daughter, Maci, during the height of the COVID pandemic. That loss completely shifted our lives and forced us to question everything. What followed was a four-year lawsuit in pursuit of justice surrounding the negligence involved in Maci’s death—an incredibly difficult journey that shaped me in ways I never imagined. Through it all, I was carried by an unwavering support system: my husband, three children, family, and friends who never let me fall.

Maci’s Pour Custom Bartending was born from that realization—that life is short and every day matters. This business is more than bartending to me; it’s about honoring my daughter Maci by choosing connection, joy, and presence. My goal is to bring genuine happiness, warmth, and meaningful connection to every event I’m a part of.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely wasn’t a smooth road. I was juggling a lot—raising three kids, working a full-time job at the time, and trying to figure out how to build a business without really knowing all the steps yet. Some days I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and questioning whether I could actually pull it off. I made mistakes, learned as I went, and had moments where quitting felt easier. And oof did I find out quick that “imposter syndrome” will take over every thought. But I kept showing up. Those challenges forced me to grow, get uncomfortable, and stay focused on why I started in the first place. It hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been real—and every struggle has played a part in shaping Maci’s Pour into what it is today.

As you know, we’re big fans of Maci’s Pour Custom Bartending. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Maci’s Pour isn’t just a bartender showing up—we don’t just pour, we provide. From simple beer and wine service to a full open bar vibe, we create an experience that’s more than drinks. We do custom cocktails, put together bars that actually look and feel special, and add little touches that make people feel welcome and part of the celebration. Every event, big or small, is a chance to bring people together, and that’s what I love most about what I do.

What makes us different? Honestly, it’s heart. We care about every detail and every person at the event, and we really try to understand what the client wants—even if it takes some trial and error. I’m proud that people trust us to do more than serve drinks—to bring laughter, connection, and moments people actually remember long after the last cocktail is poured.

At the core of Maci’s Pour is the idea that life’s too short to just go through the motions. I want every event we’re part of to feel special, to bring joy, and to leave a little magic behind. Whether it’s a wedding, a private party, or a corporate gathering, our goal is always the same: to provide not just drinks, but an experience that people will actually feel and remember.

What’s next?
Honestly, for the future, I just want to keep growing and making Maci’s Pour bigger and better. I’m looking at new bars and setups that really set the vibe for events, bringing on awesome people to join my team, and finding ways to make this business really take off. I’d love to connect with local brands, collaborate with others in the community, and just be a name people know and trust. At the end of the day, it’s about creating moments that bring people together, make them laugh, and leave memories that last long after the last drink is poured.
