Hi Ruth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. Before we get into specifics, could you briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Ruth Adeyemi, and I am the founder of SARMLife, an organization focused on helping brands grow their blog traffic and income with business blogging and digital marketing strategies. I also run an SEO/Social Media Agency. Let me walk you through what led me to being an agency owner & an SEO expert. I grew up in Ekiti State, Nigeria, a small town where my family and friends were all I knew. At age eight (8), my biggest dream was to be a Pharmacist; I always knew I would be a health practitioner. At age fifteen (15), I left my family to study Biochemistry in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, and that was the beginning of a dramatic mindset shift. In my final year as an undergrad, I started a “hobby blog” to share my knowledge, do more, and be more. I bet you that almost every blogger began with a hobby blog, so don’t blame us. But after undergrad and without a desire to job search with my biochemistry degree, I began to take my blogging & SEO journey seriously.
Before long, I got the hang of blogging till my blog traffic grew from 1000 monthly visits to over 25,000, and it kept increasing. Oh, I was elated, haha! I could do more, be more, and teach others more about professional blogging than regular hobby blogging. I kid you not; that was how I got my first coaching of “40” people gig: a solid desire to help fellow bloggers. From there, I saw the pains of these bloggers, from monetization to increased traffic, business structuring, pricing, etc. With this understanding, I combined my knowledge of Digital Marketing & Search Engine Optimization with my experience in professional (business) blogging to help my first Agency client increase her website traffic by 1147.39% in 10 days. In addition, I run a yearly impact-driven digital skills training with the vision of raising the next generation of African digital giants. Seeing the impact of “my solid desire + continuous devotion to learning” in the lives of over 500 bloggers, business owners, influencers, 9-5ers, etc, gives me great joy. My mission is to stimulate endless possibilities in you, translating to dangerous confidence in the ability of your brand to thrive in the digital space.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, it has surely not been a smooth ride. In the early days, my major challenge was pricing my services. It got so bad that my clients openly told me I give too much value for little pay. It was that bad. But it was not until roughly two years ago that I finally cracked the pricing code. Thanks to Micheal Janda. Now, a primary challenge I face as my company expands is adequate staff management coupled with seamless client enrollment. It’s growing pains, but we will overcome this challenge too soon.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the SEO industry, I see search engines perfecting voice search to provide voice searchers with relevant search results. Also, search engines are more tolerant of AI-generated content. This is primarily because AI companies will improve their art, slowly gaining the trust of search engines like Google.
