Hi Naujia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to Jax after college in 2019. I was a new grad in a new city, not really knowing my direction. COVID came rolling around and after joining the workforce I quickly realized that I didnt want to work for someone. I was simply surviving, I waffled between a bar, then a bakery, to even a healthy cornerstore before settling on a smoothie bar. I knew I wanted to bring healthier options to my new community. I’ve spent the last 6 years learning JAX and myself.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest barriers to entrepanuership is simply the barrier to entry: money. I’m a first gen grad, I dont have parents or grand parents to loan me money. It has been a long process to simply get it off the ground. However, along the way I have met people who believe in me and support what I want to do. I know this is going to be.a staple in JAX.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Nirvana’s is a homegrown smoothie bar that offers fresh, unique, and delicious treats. We curate each smoothie with your benefit in mind and with the intent to save you time. What separates us is that we offer a home delivery/shipping service to our customers so that they can enjoy a refreshing drink right in the comfort of their own homes. All of our ingredients are natural, non-GMO, and low-glycemic.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as trying new things. Even if they don’t work out. If i have an idea and implement it is still a win. If I go to an event and only receive one sale, that is one more sale that I wouldn’t have made. It is one more connection that I have.
