Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynn Madden
Hi Lynn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always enjoyed doing hair, Even as a child I was my family’s Hair stylist.
After a battle with Cancer and losing my hair, I realized just how important what we look like on the outside, plays on what we feel on the inside. I remember getting my first wig and crying with happiness. I said to my self, someday i’m going to make the entire world feel as good as I do now.
Turn of events happened and I became a NYC Police officer. I spent years serving the best dept in the world & loved every minute of it. Sadly I dealt with yet another Cancer relapse and was forced to retire. (this made it my 3rd time with cancer) After moving to Florida I sat at The Mayo clinic wondering what my life would be like if I went back into remission. I went back to school while still undergoing Chemo at The Paul Mitchell School, At 50 yrs old I got my Florida License and then covid hit, I literally told my self “you got through so much, this too will pass” My faith is strong and God won’t let me down.
today I’m blessed to have my own salon and a strong following. I’m thankful for the support of family and friends.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’d say battling cancer 3 time, Also being a lupus warrior has been my biggest challenge, I was taught by my amazing parents to never give up on my dreams and hope that my kids learn from my experiences and always follow their dreams with no limitations.

It’s my happy place and I love that I can make every client feel special as I see one at a time. I am extremely proud of my success and the support my clients have given me.
Coming from NYC, I brought a smoothing system called “Magic Sleek” to the south with me, and now provide a Formaldehyde free smoothing system that does not cause any health issues. Frizz free hair is important here in Florida so my clients love it. I also specialize in hair extensions and color.
among other services I do. I’ve become the Magic sleek master here in North Florida. I am Truly blessed.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My Family is most important, My will to live and continuing to follow my dreams comes from my love for them. I want them to know that I will always fight for live and never stop learning. “I want to be a good roll model” My father once told me “education is the one thing no one can take from you, so here I am taking continuing education classes and getting better at my craft at almost 55yrs old. Also my clients are very important to me. I do my best to listen and provide the best service for them. I want them to feel as good as I did That day when I left the salon after cancer took my hair and the one hair dresser made my life what it is today. She doesn’t know the impact she had on my life. I’m so thankful to her.
