Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Mrs Jasmine Jones. I go by JJ. I am a mother and a wife. I’m a Licensed Cosmetologist (also a licensed notary).,I started my journey in the hair industry back in 2010. I attended and graduated from hair school at The Salon Professional Academy in Gainesville Florida in 2012. I’ve worked in a few salon/barber shops. contractor/booth renter. I continue to attend hair shows and classes to stay up to date with some of the latest trends. I enjoy satisfying clients!! I thank God for all my many blessings.!!! I decided to open my own hair salon in 2020. The name is JJCLASSYTOUCH VIP STUDIO location 209 NE 39th Ave,Gainesville Florida.. After being in business 3 years in business I decided to branch into the barbering side.I have some professional license barbers inside of the shop as well! I’ve been open now for 5 years!! I thank all of my supporters!. Thank You.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My first three years I was in my salon alone so at times when business was slow things will get a little challenging but God always see me through. Now at 5 years I have three other individuals in there with me so now things are not as challenging as it used to be when it was just me in there alone.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
The city of Jacksonville has a variety of things to explore,so that what I like about Jacksonville. I’m a little nervous about the the safest traveling route to attend events.
