Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivi Hysaj.
Hi Ivi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a full time musician with guitar being my main instrument. I was teaching guitar full time. I also graduated from UNF with a Logistics and Transportation Degree. After I graduated in 2014 I had a full time job with a local trucking company for two years enough to gain customer service experience. During this time I saw my father struggle with keeping up with his construction business. I decided to give my two week notice at my Logistics job and start helping my dads business. By this time I had gained a lot of contacts and work ethic to be able to maintain and adjust some of the technical sides of owning a business. A few years later I got my roofing license and focused on growing that. My goal was to retire my dad so he can live comfortably and I feel pretty good that we were able to achieve that.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. We have had many ups and downs. Some of the struggles we have had to deal with is creating systems where things flow automatically and customer service is handled in a professional manner. I try to fix any issue that may raise for my customers real quick so things don’t pile up. At this point it’s about minimizing error and learning how to handle issues in a timely manner. There will always be issues that come up, its about how you handle them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in roofing services. We work with individuals that strive for efficiency and hard work to deliver quality service to our clients. I manage multiple labor teams, and I am in the process of hiring more team members. My wife helps me manage as far as paperwork and office needs. We are working on creating a system where things are automated and making communication between us and the client more efficient.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love that it is spread out because it has potential for new development and new things to be built such as entertainment parks, or house development.
I do not like that downtown does not have a nightlife or a better daytime restaurant area. Very few restaurants and not much to choose from.
