Today we’d like to introduce you to Frednica Smith.
Hi Frednica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Frednica Smith I am a CNA of 19 years I love what I do truly and if I could help the entire world I would. My experience as a CNA has overall been the most challenging blessing ever.
A few years ago, I was at work and I was just feeling like being a CNA just wasn’t enough I know I can expand myself to do so much more help others understand this field and most of all help people become something they feel that could never do.
We as humans help others everyday even by opening the door for someone picking up something someone dropped on the floor, helping someone with daily life skills everyone need a little help sometimes. So in 2019, I started selling scrub uniforms.
I loved that loved meeting new people and helping them with quality affordable scrubs but that still wasn’t enough so we started The Heartlife CPR where we tutor future CNAs to pass there Stateboard and I also became a CPR instructor a year later The Heartlife CPR became a training Center through American Heart Association oh how I love what has became of The Heartlife.
I love to grant people a new career as a CNA and I overlove teaching CPR and BLS courses. I’m very proud if the growth and we are not done. This year I will be Hosting a Crocs Ball we’re CNAs are going honored for their hard work and dedication at times CNAs are overlooked but I’m here to bring awareness of just how important we really are.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been easy but I don’t give up and I’m very determined to open the door for CNAs to be acknowledged. I guess the hardest thing was reaching people to know about our services and what we offer.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Heartlife CPR training site provides:
- CNA Prep courses.
- CPR/BLS Training.
- BLS INSTRUCTOR Course.
Here we teach from our heart and we want all our future CNAs to be the best In the healthcare world they could be.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I’ve learned just how important CNA jobs are and how vital we are to live we truly are the Healthcare Angels. When everyone are living there life’s we are caring for people who have lost their dependency.
I tell my students every class “We all have to lay in the hospital or nursing home one day” and guess who will be there to take care of you? A CNA.
