Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Nicole Morris
Hi Christian Nicole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always known that being an entrepreneur was at the core of who I am. However, it has always been difficult for me to hone in and find “my thing”. So because of that, my journey is filled with many business ventures that, unfortunately, left me feeling unfulfilled and ultimately led me to keep searching for what I was destined to do.
I would often feel discouraged because it seemed like everyone around me had that one amazing thing they did so well that they were able to create a business and share their passion with the world. And then there was me – good at many things. Master of none of them. But I refused to give up. I knew there was a true passion and a true calling somewhere deep down inside.
One day, I was scrolling through social media and came across an ad for a lash extension course. I was immediately interested and began looking into the details where it advised to check for my state’s requirements. Upon doing so, I learned that I would need an Esthetician license. I had never heard of an Esthetician so I began to research and, needless to say, I finally felt that spark I had been searching for and knew that I had to go back to school to become a licensed Esthetician.
Shortly after obtaining my license I opened my salon suite and began offering facial services. I felt amazing – I had finally found “my thing’. Unfortunately, I had to close my suite due to life taking me on a very unexpected journey. And while I was sad, I still felt blessed to have made it that far.
Fast forward to the day I got introduced to the Mary Kay business opportunity. Of course I had heard of Mary Kay before, but I had never considered becoming an Independent Beauty Consultant. Not only did this business just fit my life right where I was, but it also gave me the opportunity to still do what I love as an Esthetician. Sharing knowledge about skin health and helping people to look and feel their best.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road on my journey has definitely not been a smooth one. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression for many years. This made it difficult to remain motivated, but also even more difficult to be consistent. To have the desire to do great things and at the same time not want to do anything at all is a tough mental space to be in.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Body721 is a brand that I created out of passion and purpose. 721 represents self love. The words Love You is 7 letters, 2 words, and 1 meaning. Taking care of your physical self is an important form of self love.
As a licensed Esthetician, my primary specialty is skin care and skin health. As an Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, I get to share knowledge via free skin care classes and high quality, effective skin care products to help others achieve their skin care goals.
As a holistic Esthetician, I also provide services specific to other areas of concern on the body, such as nonsurgical fat removal, body sculpting, and light therapy. What’s so amazing about my services is that I can provide them in the comfort of my clients’ home. Although I do look forward to opening my esthetics spa in the near future.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was very fearless, feisty, and imaginative. I grew up with the best of both worlds as an only child by my mom and one of 8 half siblings from my dad. I loved to dress up in the cute clothes my mom always made sure I had and I always wanted my picture taken. I was blessed to grow up in a home of four generations of women and I was the first great-great grandchild.
My favorite thing was my Barbie collection, but I loved anything that allowed me to be creative. Anything I told my mom I wanted to do, she would do whatever she could to support me. From art, to pottery, to computers, to ballet school.
As a pre-teen, I started a couple of side hustles… Braiding hair and baby-sitting.
When I got into high school, I decided to join the debate team since I was never the athletic type. Shortly after, I began taking college courses that would lead me to obtaining my certification in early childhood education for me to start my career as a preschool teacher.
