Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Sturgis
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in personal development and branding through my background in financial services and event planning. In both industries though polar opposites- they both have deficits as it relates to intrapersonal and interpersonal development. Growing up as a pastor’s child, I experienced both the joys and pains of ministry, which sparked my passion for helping others navigate their own paths through thought leadership.
After facing my own trials, including a challenging divorce, childhood trauma, miscarriages, loss of identity and overcoming depression to name a few, I turned to the God for guidance. This transformation led me to become a certified life coach, focusing on empowering men and women to elevate their lives and relationships. Whether it’s personal or professional.
With over ten years of marriage and six children, I understand the importance of having a solid identity, self-care plan, healthy relationships, and executing one’s purpose. I founded several programs, such as “She Will Be Praised”, “A Rich Heritage,” aimed at helping others find fulfillment in their personal and professional lives. Through speaking, retreats, coaching, consulting, and community support, I’ve dedicated my work to equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive internally for an external benefit.
Today, I continue to develop programs, books, courses and events that address the needs of my audience, focusing on overall wellness, legacy-building, personal fulfillment and financial impact, all while staying grounded in my faith and love for others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. My journey has been marked by significant struggles that have shaped my perspective and purpose. One of the major challenges was navigating my divorce, and infidelity in my marriage which was a deeply painful experience. It forced me to confront my own decisions and re-evaluate my path, ultimately leading me to seek God’s guidance more earnestly.
Additionally, overcoming three different diagnoses of depression without medication was a monumental struggle and great triumph. It was through this battle that I developed a deeper relationship with God as Father, Jesus as friend and the Holy Spirit as helper, that not only helped me heal but also inspired me to help others facing similar challenges.
Balancing my roles as a wife, mother, and a entrepreneur has also presented its own set of hurdles. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, questioning whether I could truly fulfill my calling while managing family responsibilities. Experiencing homelessness, loss after loss, was almost the straw that broke the camels back but by the grace of God I never lost my mind.
Despite these challenges, each struggle has been a stepping stone that has equipped me with empathy and resilience, allowing me to better serve my clients and community. I believe that our trials can lead to transformation, and I’m committed to using my experiences to uplift and empower others.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising about me is that I’m actually an ambivert, leaning more towards introversion. While I genuinely love connecting with people and building community, I also cherish my alone time for reflection and recharging. It’s in those quiet moments that I often find inspiration and clarity.
Additionally, I have a quirky and fun-loving side that might not be immediately apparent. I believe in the importance of joy and laughter, and I try to infuse that spirit into my work. Whether it’s through playful interactions in coaching sessions or incorporating lighthearted elements into my events, I aim to create an enjoyable and uplifting atmosphere for everyone I work with.
This balance of social engagement and personal solitude fuels my creativity and passion, allowing me to serve others with authenticity and joy.
