Hidden Gems: Meet Angel Grissom of CMG3TECH

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Grissom.

Hi Angel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started long before I ever launched a company. I lost my mother at six years old and grew up navigating life without the stability many children take for granted. That experience shaped me. It taught me resilience early. I learned that my “right now” was not my forever, and education became my path forward.

I built my foundation in business and technology, eventually working in infrastructure and information security at Deloitte Digital. That experience exposed me to how systems work at scale. But I also saw something else. I saw how many small businesses, especially in my own city of Jacksonville, were being left behind in the technology conversation.

After leaving corporate, I founded CMG³ Technologies with a mission to bridge that gap. What started as a tech consulting company evolved into something much larger. Today, we work at the intersection of ethical AI, automation, digital infrastructure, and community empowerment. We don’t just build systems. We help people build sustainable futures.

As billions of dollars are flowing into downtown Jacksonville, I recognized a critical opportunity. If we do not intentionally prepare our small businesses, particularly women and minority entrepreneurs, they will not benefit from that growth. Through SHE-EO and our local initiatives, my mission is to help more women become city-certified, strengthen their operational foundations, and build true sisterhood rooted in accountability and ownership.

At the same time, I am deeply focused on ethical AI. Technology is advancing rapidly, and while it offers immense opportunity, it also carries societal, environmental, spiritual, and mental health implications. I believe we have a responsibility to lead this AI wave with integrity, not just innovation.

Today, I’m not just building companies. I’m building ecosystems. My heart is for Jacksonville. I want to see our city thrive in a way that is inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready. Everything I do… from tech consulting to women’s leadership development is centered around that mission.

And we’re just getting started.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, but it has been a purposeful one. I survived abuse, abandonment, and significant loss at a very young age. Losing my mother at six and navigating instability shaped me in ways that forced maturity early. There were seasons where I had to decide whether my past would define me or refine me.

Entrepreneurship brought its own challenges. Transitioning from corporate structure into building something from scratch requires resilience on a completely different level. There were financial risks, sleepless nights, moments of self-doubt, and the constant pressure of leading while still growing myself. As a woman in tech, and as someone advocating for systemic change in my city, I’ve also had to develop a thick skin and an unshakable sense of vision.

But through every season, my faith has been my anchor. I put my trust in God, and He has never forsaken me. Even when doors closed, better ones opened. Even when relationships shifted, clarity followed. Even when I felt stretched, I was being strengthened.

The struggles gave me empathy. They gave me discernment. They gave me the ability to sit with other women, other entrepreneurs, other families, and truly understand what rebuilding looks like.

Nothing about my path has been accidental. The challenges prepared me for the mission. I never forget… REJECTION IS PROTECTION.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about CMG3TECH ?
CMG³ (creative minds growing under the the father, son, and Holy Spirit) is an ecosystem.

CMG³ Tech is the hub, the infrastructure layer. It’s where we focus on AI strategy, automation, ethical technology implementation, and helping businesses build scalable digital foundations. But over time, I realized that technology alone wasn’t the full solution. People need education, community, and ownership.

That’s where the “universe” began forming.

CMG³ University offers free education in AI literacy, entrepreneurship, and practical business skills because access matters.

Faith to Founders is where we merge faith and entrepreneurship, reminding leaders that strategy and spirituality are not mutually exclusive.

SHE-EO focuses on sisterhood, certification with the city, and positioning women to compete for real contracts, especially with billions flowing into downtown Jacksonville.

Then there’s the generational piece… My daughter’s brand, Vikki’s Luxe Glam and my son’s brand, DinoButta. I’m teaching ownership early. I want my children and other youth in our city to understand that they can create, build, and lead.

Curame Natural represents the holistic side of our ecosystem: mind, body, and wellness. Because technology without wellness creates imbalance.

And now we’re launching 904 Collab, which I’m incredibly excited about. It will be Jacksonville’s first mobile app hub for local resources, businesses, events, and collaboration opportunities. As $9 billion flows into downtown, we need a centralized digital space that makes sure our small businesses are visible, connected, and prepared.

904 Collab is about access. It’s about economic circulation staying local. It’s about making sure our city grows together, not in silos.

Everything under CMG³ connects back to one thing: building a future-ready Jacksonville that is ethically powered, community-rooted, and generationally strong.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck the way most people define it. I believe in preparation, obedience, and divine alignment.

There were moments in my life that could have been labeled “bad luck” losing my mother young, experiencing abandonment, walking through difficult seasons in business. But looking back, I don’t see misfortune. I see refinement. Every setback developed resilience. Every closed door redirected me toward something greater.

If anything, what some might call “good luck” has been the result of staying consistent, keeping my faith, and being willing to move when God says move. I prepare diligently, but I trust completely.

As it says in Proverbs 16:9, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

I plan. He orders. That’s the difference. To God be the Glory.
