Hi Zion, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started with working a 9-5, I did that for some time until one particular shift, I was having a very hard time. I thought to myself; I shouldn’t stay here, the world has more to offer and I shouldn’t be content with remaining just a worker. I also was focused on making my parents proud; I enrolled in college and planned on using my 9-5 as a stepping stone to escape it. Before I reached branding Soie Extensions, I tried four different business niches that didn’t make sense to me until I started to look at what I enjoyed spending my money on–hair! and that’s how Soie Extensions came about.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Okay, finding a niche wasn’t hard. Getting my family to see the vision and making sure each frontal, wig & bundle were up to part for my future customers was the most tedious aspect. Finding a hair vendor with great communication skills and great quality hair was a big struggle for me. This process was trial and error.
