As a child and young adult, I dreamed of owning a flower shop in my later years. I always loved arranging bouquets for friends and family, but my career took me in a different direction—I became a lawyer. However, after moving to a new country, I decided to follow my heart and turn my lifelong passion into reality by opening my own flower shop.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was tough—a new country, a language I didn’t know, unfamiliar laws and regulations. I was starting from scratch in a completely new industry. But along the way, I met incredible people who were open and willing to share their experiences.
At one point, when I felt completely lost, I prayed and asked God for a sign—should I keep going or choose a different path? And then, by pure chance, I met a woman who owned a flower shop. When she learned that I wanted to open my own, she generously shared her journey with me. Her story inspired me, and in that moment, I knew I was on the right path. The most amazing part? She told me the same thing—that I was heading in the right direction!
