Hi Savannah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Honeycomb Floral began out of a desire to bring light during a dark time. In May 2020, at the peak of COVID-19, I saw the need for encouragement in the form of flower deliveries and handwritten notes.
Every week or so, I’d offer delivery days so that friends and family could send flowers and encouraging notes to one another. I’d drive around Jacksonville and Saint Augustine, leaving these arrangements on doorsteps and watching people’s faces light up! We aimed to celebrate the little things in life because, in dark times, little things can make a huge difference.
We’ve come quite a long way since then. As the world started opening back up and people started holding weddings again, we had the honor of designing the flowers for a few friend’s weddings. From there, friends told other friends about this little business and it grew into what it is today!
Today, we offer full-service florals for weddings and events, Flower workshops, Flower bar experiences, and deliveries on special holidays! We now have the incredible honor of celebrating some of our client’s happiest days!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing can quite prepare you for the wild journey of entrepreneurship, but I have been incredibly blessed by the encouragement and support of friends, family, and customers who became friends.
We’ve been impressed with Honeycomb Floral Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
Honeycomb Floral Co. is a wedding and event floral company. We specialize in joyful, bright, garden-inspired floral arrangements and installations.
Every florist has its unique style, and Honeycomb Floral Co. takes inspiration from the beauty of flowers in their natural environment. Nothing is too stiff or “put together.” We embrace the natural movement, colors, and textures of flowers to create fun, whimsical designs.
We believe these big life moments are some of the most joy-filled days of people’s lives, and we believe the flowers we design for each client should fully express that!
Honeycomb Floral Co. It is not your typical big box store or large operation. We pride ourselves on being small but mighty. When clients have their initial consultation call, that same person will be carefully hand-crafting their arrangements for their event, leaving nothing to be lost in translation. We have a small team dedicated to making the floral vision come to life for each event!
Instead of operating a traditional brick-and-mortar flower shop, we come to the clients with services! We currently offer Private Workshop classes, build-your-own flower bar events, and deliveries on special holidays such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I have always had creative outlets, one of them being painting. Before I ever put together a flower arrangement, I was painting them!
I’d gather flowers from outside or scrounge up the best I could find from grocery stores and arrange them to be the subject of a painting! I always thought I’d be a painter and never imagined I’d be a florist!
