Today we’d like to introduce you to Sammie Janica.
Hi Sammie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started in Interior Design when I was nine years old. I loved drawing floor plans and elevations, rearranging, organizing and decorating my room and my family home. I also spent a lot of time watching HGTV shows. That was the point in my life that I knew it was my passion. I since have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and have successfully passed the NCIDQ exam and am certified and licensed in the state of Florida. I worked for luxury, custom home builders for 10 years after earning my bachelor’s degree and after immense growth and experience through my time with builders, I have decided to step full-time into my own interior design firm; Sammie Janica Interior Design.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far – I would say things have progressed smoothly and organically with my business. I know there will be obstacles and challenges along the way, but I am hopeful and optimistic for what the future holds for myself and my business.
We’ve been impressed with Sammie Janica Interior Design, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner and creative director of Sammie Janica Interior Design. My interior design firm specializes in luxury new home construction with a passion for helping clients build their dream home from conception to completion. Including furnishings and decor. I have recently dabbled in restaurant design and am excited for boutique commercial spaces to become an extension of what I can offer. My style is elevated casual – achieving both functional and aesthetic goals for my clients. My process is something that I take pride in and is a different approach from other firms – providing a seamless experience for my clients and the builders to keep everyone more on time and more on budget. I’m most proud of building a brand that clients trust with high-level, highly personal projects. I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in creating fully realized, highly personalized spaces—from architecture to accessories. I approach each project with a balance of beauty and function, ensuring every detail feels intentional and tailored to the way my clients live. My work is grounded in a livable luxury aesthetic, where elevated design meets comfort and longevity.
How do you think about luck?
I think what some people call luck has really been a combination of timing, relationships, and being prepared to step into opportunities when they present themselves. I’ve been fortunate to meet the right people and be trusted with meaningful projects, but I’ve also worked hard to build a foundation where those opportunities could grow into something lasting.
