Today we’d like to introduce you to Najee Goode.
Hi Najee, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a former linebacker, that has played 9 seasons with the NFL which includes Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles (Super Bowl Champion LII), Indianapolis Colts, and Jacksonville Jaguars (2019).
A native of Cleveland, Ohio coming from a family of athletes. My father, John Goode, is a former tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles and both my father and I are the first family duo to play for the Eagles.
I have chosen to make Jacksonville my home, bringing energy and innovation to the community. I am leading the charge to revolutionize the fan experience in professional sports and entertainment through VEEPIO technology.
I am also a proud father of 2 and currently brainstorming and bringing to action events to support our NFL Alumni Jacksonville Chapter, Caring for Kids Programs, and community needs as the current President.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My challenges have been coordinating and adjusting to life after the NFL, managing my schedule with my daughters, and work-life. However, my biggest reward is being able to spend time with my daughters and working with other players to adjust to the afterlife of an NFL Player.
