My journey in business started about 13 years ago when I decided to try my hand in e-commerce. In the first years, I was focused on selling nail care products and building one of the largest marketplaces for cosmetics in Eastern Europe. However, over time, I realized that true growth would come from finding something unique and innovative. That’s when the idea for creative products was born. It all started when I noticed people’s growing interest in hobbies related to crafting and decided to make this process simpler and more accessible. We created String Art Kits—unique sets that allow people to turn any photo into a true piece of art made out of threads. It was a big leap, and I decided to expand internationally, focusing on the U.S. market. Starting a business in another country was challenging, but I believed in the product. Now we’re seeing fantastic results, and that brings me immense satisfaction.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been smooth, and the main challenge was that the U.S. market wasn’t familiar with our product. It was a completely new concept—String Art Kits—and people didn’t understand what it was, how it worked, or why they needed it. Our product was so unique that the first task was to explain its value. Once people understood how it worked, they immediately fell in love with it, often using it as a gift or for their own creative projects. The main difficulty was not a saturated market, but the need to educate people about our product to highlight its potential and uniqueness.

My business, IT Arti, offers unique creative kits that allow people to turn any photo into an amazing piece of art. What sets us apart is that we don’t just provide instructions; our interactive app guides users step by step through the entire process. Besides creating a beautiful masterpiece, the entire experience becomes something like meditation—it’s a relaxing, mindful activity. People can unplug from their daily stress and enjoy the creative process. We’re proud that our products make creativity accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level, and bring people joy. We don’t just sell kits—we offer a way for people to create something unique with their own hands while enjoying the process itself.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Many people don’t know that before I started my creative business, I spent 13 years creating and managing a business in the nail care industry. I have extensive experience in that field, but I decided to switch to something more creative and focused on gifts. It was a significant shift, and even though I had a strong background in another industry, I felt it was time for a change and wanted to do something more inspiring.
