Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Kashkin.
Hi Victoria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a fashion and beauty content creator, entrepreneur, and hat designer based in Naples, Florida. Today, I balance two creative businesses: creating fashion and beauty content for brands and audiences online, while also designing fascinators and statement hats through my Etsy brand, GalaCharmStyle.
I started my Instagram years ago because I genuinely loved fashion, beauty, dressing up, and creating beautiful imagery. Over time, it slowly became more than just a hobby. I fell in love with content creation, styling, and building my own visual world online.
At the same time, I’ve always been a very creative and hands-on person. I started making fascinators and hats for myself to wear to social events, brunches, parties, and special occasions with friends. People constantly asked where they were from, and eventually I realized I wanted to start creating them not only for myself, but for other women as well.
What began as a personal creative outlet gradually grew into its own business through Etsy and social media. I love designing pieces that feel feminine, expressive, elegant, and memorable. For me, fascinators are not just accessories: they completely transform the mood of an outfit and make women feel confident and beautiful.
Last year, I also completed a luxury industry program created in partnership with LVMH: the group behind brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, and other major luxury houses, and ESSEC Business School, with a focus on branding, creation, retail, and customer experience. Since I’ve always loved fashion, luxury aesthetics, and visual storytelling, it felt like a very natural step for me professionally and creatively.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many creative people, one of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance artistry with the business side of things. Creative work is very personal, and building a recognizable identity while staying authentic can sometimes feel overwhelming in a fast-moving social media world.
Another challenge has been learning to trust my own creative direction instead of constantly trying to follow trends. Over time, I realized that the strongest brands and creators are usually the ones who develop a clear point of view and stay consistent with it.
I’ve also had to learn many different skills along the way: from content creation and branding to product styling, visual presentation, customer experience, and marketing. At the same time, I try to keep the creative process enjoyable and meaningful, because that’s what inspired me to start in the first place.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
A big part of my work today revolves around creating fashion and beauty content, styling outfits, photography, and building a visual identity through social media. I enjoy creating imagery that feels elegant, feminine, polished, and inspired by Florida lifestyle and resort aesthetics.
Alongside content creation, I also design hats and fascinators for women who love dressing up for special events, brunches, parties, Derby events, weddings, and social occasions. I love mixing fashion styling with statement headpieces and creating looks that feel expressive, memorable, and visually exciting.
One of my favorite parts of the process is seeing how a single fascinator or outfit detail can completely change the mood of a look and help someone feel more confident and creative in how they present themselves.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I have very warm memories of childhood and family time growing up. I especially remember weekend mornings when my dad would take my younger sister and me for walks in the park while my mom stayed home preparing breakfast for us. I was also very close with my grandparents and spent a lot of time with them growing up. Those simple family moments are still very special to me.
