Sydney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has been one of resilience and purpose. Growing up in Oklahoma as a proud member of the Seminole and Muscogee (Creek) Nation, I always dreamed of helping others and spreading happiness. While I initially pursued nursing, financial barriers forced me to change course, leading to a period of struggle and self-discovery. Moving to the East Coast was a turning point. It was during this time that I found my passion for lashing after a transformative first appointment. This inspired me to enroll in esthetics school and commit to creating a space where women could feel renewed, beautiful, and cared for.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—it’s been a journey full of challenges that shaped me into who I am today. From working grueling jobs to navigating mental health struggles, I’ve had to learn the importance of self-care and perseverance. My time as the youngest—and only woman—on a water mitigation crew tested my limits but taught me work ethic and grit. At my lowest, my husband, Sevin, saved my life with his unwavering love and support. When I moved to the East Coast to be with him, I met my good friend Ella Steele, who welcomed me to Jacksonville and inspired my journey as a lash artist after my first appointment with her. Through it all, I’ve prioritized breaking generational curses, finding strength in my struggles, and creating a life filled with purpose and connection.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My approach to beauty is deeply personal and focuses on enhancing natural features while fostering connection and peace. I specialize in lash extensions, lash lifts, and brow services, offering clients a variety of ways to feel confident and refreshed. My goal is to highlight each client’s unique beauty through services tailored to their needs. What sets me apart is the compassion, empathy, and genuine care I bring to every appointment—qualities shaped by my own journey. For me, beauty services aren’t just about appearances; they’re about creating a transformative moment of self-care. I’m proud to provide a space where clients can relax, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling their absolute best, one lash and brow at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
The little things bring me the most joy. Watching people exist in their own timeline, unknowingly affected by strangers, is a beautiful experience. Humans deserve to romanticize the life we live, and seeing that happen is what makes me the happiest. My pursuit of happiness has been ongoing for a while now. Dealing with mental health struggles allows you to see the bigger picture while paying attention to the things most people miss. It’s a beautiful life, if you choose to believe it is.
