Daily Inspiration: Meet Sarah Hipps

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Hipps.

Sarah Hipps

Hi Sarah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a Performance Coach, Project Manager, Writer, Author, Speaker, and recently launched my faith-based lifestyle brand: “i will as He wills.” I have worked with people for years to help them find and become their best selves, whether as a personal trainer or a performance coach. I have learned a lot from my journey and am quick to share my testimony about the choices and pains I’ve experienced and how hard work and God have brought me to a new place in life. I am so excited about my relocation to Florida to be nearer family and to bring my brand and work to a new community!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Struggles along the way! I credit these three qualities: Perseverance, Unshakable, Tiny Faith, and whatever quality makes others believe and support someone. I kept getting up, even when it felt like the last thing I wanted or could do. I always had this tiny part of me that believed things were supposed to be better than they were. I could never put my finger on why I felt that way. It logically did not make sense. Yet, it remained. I have been blessed far beyond what I should be with people who believe in me and continuously choose to show up for me. They would encourage me, listen to my podcasts, buy my products, and listen to me. My support system is a wicked weapon against the part of me that wanted to fail. My advice is first to have faith. I think God is dope, and I’m thankful for him. I have seen countless times where I was protected, moved, or gifted what I needed despite anything I did. I use my faith as a light to the path I’m walking. Second, buy into the deepest part of yourself. I have always had hope, and I have always wanted to be of service to others. But in a world that favors the ruthless and selfish, I always attempted to erase these parts of myself as I thought they made me weak. These qualities are my superpowers, and choosing to lean into them makes me my strongest self – not my weakest. The same exists within you. It may lead to a more fulfilling life, or it may lead to your next business idea! Whatever it is, don’t ignore or erase it; embrace it.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am excited about where I am going next in this season of my life! In addition to relocating in 2024 to Florida to be nearer my family, I have launched my faith-based lifestyle brand, “i will as He wills”. This brand meets people exactly where they are with love and encouragement, openness, and seeking to exist with others as Jesus sought. At “i will as He wills”, we showcase what Jesus was truly about – not the judgement-fueled experiences many in this world identify with him. One doesn’t have to believe in Christ to wear our gear, and we welcome all to find a shirt that represents them and their desire to show up for others and speak life into those nearby. Goodness is truly at the heart of what we do. I encourage everyone to read through our About page and how we set money aside from every purchase to contribute to those in need. Recently, my life was transformed as I left Chicago and moved back home to spend time with family and recuperate. I felt convicted in the choices I made, in the mindsets and beliefs I had adopted, and in what I wanted in my life moving forward. God truly worked within me, and I was led to start this clothing brand. This world is hard, especially if you’re navigating it alone. I believe in each person’s ability to pursue the best life for them, and I pray that everyone experiences joy and peace. This may sound hokey, haha, but I know the next chapter of my life is bringing new and big things, and I want to bring everyone with me!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
The weather coming from cold cities, the sun and warmth are the best things in the world to me!
