Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Vogel
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started out when I was about 16 and I had designed a special part that I needed 3D printed, this is when 3D printers were not totally mainstream, I decided to look for a company or service that offered 3D printing but all of those services were extremely expensive. That discouraged me and I kind of dropped the idea. Then about a year later I was working for a company when someone donated a 3D printer to the shop and the owner asked me to see if I could find a way to generate business from it. Being a programmer I created a subdepartment for 3D printing and it gained just a little bit of traction, the owner really didn’t see it as a valid niche. Then once the owner decided not to pay me for I promptly quit and decided to look for another job. However a couple months later I found the old code I had used for the other company on my computer and decided to create a company fully dedicated to 3D printing, the difference was that my company would not be 100% email based, it would allow people to upload custom design files (like I had in the beginning) and get an instant affordable priced quote, checkout immediately and have the print shipped to them within days. The idea started off slow but within a year it took off and I grew extremely fats. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part it has been smooth, the only challenges I have had to overcome was to make sure I had my logistics figured out. I had to make sure I had enough 3D printers to be fast enough but not too many where I would go broke. Once I found the sweet spot I was able to cruise.

I mainly work in IT. I am a systems administrator for a company out at the beaches, coding, application development and program workflow have been some of my passions to create functional programs. I am very proud to have a bold resume that is extremely strong at my still young age of 20. I have collaborated with many larger organizations and managed infrastructure budgets of over 10+ million dollars. My drive and networking capabilities truly set me apart from other, I have been able to accomplish so much with so much more left to conquer.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My number #1 priority in life is family. I make sure family is always first, even if there is a business emergency. Once family is taken care of I take care of my friends, which are my main support system.
