Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Kelly.
Hi Rachel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Rachel Kelly, founder of Rachel Kelly Art. I created my brand with the intention to use my art to amplify faith, hope, love, and inspire others to create a ripple effect of good.
In 2018, I graduated at University of North Florida with a Communications Degree and a concentration in Advertising. In 2021, I took a leap of faith and left my full-time marketing job to pursue my dreams as an artist. After helping small-businesses and corporate brands build their businesses from scratch, I knew my calling was to pursue something more significant and have a greater impact.
My mission remains the same: Love God, Love People.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey hasn’t been easy, but I don’t believe it’s supposed to be. Building a business from the ground up requires long hours, discipline, sacrifice, consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up. Over the years, I’ve learned the power of compound pounding and improving 1% in mind, body, and spirit every day.
One of the greatest challenges I’ve faced came in May 2025 after I nearly lost my life to sepsis, a life-threatening medical emergency that affects nearly 49 million people and claims 11 million lives worldwide each year. Many survivors face rehospitalization within the first year, but by God’s grace I made a complete recovery. That season changed my perspective forever and it reminded me that life is truly a gift.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a contemporary artist based in Amelia Island, Florida, I create light-driven acrylic paintings inspired by nature, faith, and resilience. Alongside creating original artwork, I use my platform to raise awareness for issues including human trafficking, child sexual exploitation (CSAM), conservation, and endangered species protection. It’s up to us to be a voice for the voiceless.
I’m so happy to announce that after decades of conservation efforts, the Green Sea Turtle was removed from Florida’s endangered species list. This is a great example and reminder of how awareness, education, and collective action can truly make a difference.
Whether it’s spreading awareness about the Renewed Hope Act, advocating for the vulnerable, or painting the beauty of God’s creation, my goal remains the same: to use my gifts to serve others and shine light in darkness.
My work has been featured in Voyage Jacksonville, Bold Journey, and CanvasRebel. You can find my artwork on display at Kismet Coffee, an incredible local coffee shop on Amelia Island, and in private collections throughout the United States.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over time, there will always be a greater appreciation for authentic, original artwork.
As technology and AI become more integrated into everyday life, original artwork created from genuine human experience will become even more valuable. People are looking for connection, meaning, and stories they can relate to. They want something real.
Keep working on your dreams relentlessly. Trust God through every season, and never underestimate the impact you can make! Be good, do good, and keep shining your light!
Lasty, thank you God for never leaving my side. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
