Today we’d like to introduce you to Letroi Miller.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Chicago, and my journey into real estate began in 2015. What initially started as an interest in the industry grew into a career that has now spanned more than a decade. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to help buyers, sellers, investors, relocating families and first-time homebuyers navigate some of the biggest financial and personal decisions of their lives.
Today, I serve Jacksonville, St. Johns County and the surrounding Northeast Florida communities, with experience ranging from residential resale and new construction to relocation and land. What I’m most proud of is that my business has never been solely about transactions. I’ve built it around relationships, communication, advocacy and making sure my clients feel educated and supported throughout the process.
My career has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life, including professionals in highly visible industries, but I’ve always approached every client with the same level of care and discretion. Whether someone is purchasing their first home or making their next major investment, I want them to feel that they have someone genuinely advocating for them.
I’m also a mother of three, which has played a tremendous role in shaping both the woman and the business professional I am today. Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship has taught me resilience, discipline, patience and how to continue moving forward even when the path isn’t always linear. My children are a major part of my “why,” and building something meaningful that they can be proud of is extremely important to me.
Over the years, my business has continued to evolve. I’ve worked across different areas of Northeast Florida, expanded my knowledge of the market and developed a particular passion for helping people relocate to the area and understand not just the homes, but the communities and lifestyle that come with them. My clients have consistently spoken about my communication, responsiveness, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond, and those are qualities I’ve worked hard to maintain throughout my career.
As I enter this next chapter of my career, I’m focused on growth, leadership and creating an even greater impact within the Jacksonville real estate community. My philosophy is simple: real estate is ultimately about people. I want to continue helping people move forward, in life and in housing, while building a career and legacy rooted in excellence, service and genuine relationships.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I believe some of the most challenging seasons have contributed the most to my growth. Real estate is an industry filled with highs and lows. Markets change, transactions fall apart, clients’ circumstances change, and because it is a performance-based business, you have to learn how to remain consistent even when the results aren’t immediate. One of my greatest challenges has been balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood. I’m a mother of three, and throughout different stages of my real estate career, I’ve had to learn how to build a business while still being fully present for my children. There have been seasons when I’ve had to slow down, reset, or completely reevaluate what success looked like for me.
I’ve also experienced career transitions and moments where I had to essentially rebuild. Those experiences taught me that longevity in this industry isn’t about everything going according to plan. It’s about being willing to adapt, continue learning, and have the confidence to start again when necessary.
As I’ve grown, I’ve become much more intentional about the kind of business and reputation I want to build. I no longer measure success solely by the number of transactions I close. I look at the relationships I’ve built, the people I’ve helped, the trust clients place in me, and the example I’m creating for my children.
Every challenge has strengthened my resilience and ultimately helped shape the professional I am today. I’m still growing, but I’m proud that through every transition, I’ve continued to move forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Northeast Florida real estate professional with more than a decade of experience, having started my career in 2015. I primarily serve Jacksonville, St. Johns County and the surrounding communities, specializing in residential real estate, new construction, relocation, first time homebuyers and helping families navigate their next move.
What I’m known for is being hands on and genuinely invested in my clients. I don’t believe my job begins and ends with showing homes or writing contracts. I want my clients to understand the process, feel comfortable asking questions and know that they have someone advocating for them from our first conversation through closing and beyond. I’ve been fortunate to work with clients from many different backgrounds, including professionals in highly visible industries, and discretion, professionalism and trust have always been important parts of how I conduct my business.
One area I’ve become especially passionate about is new construction and the continued growth happening throughout Northeast Florida. I enjoy helping clients look beyond the house itself and consider the community, schools, future development, lifestyle and long term value of where they’re purchasing. What I’m most proud of, though, is the longevity I’ve created in this business. Real estate has changed tremendously since I entered the industry, and so has my life. I’ve continued to evolve through different markets, career seasons and becoming a mother of three while still maintaining my commitment to the profession.
I’m now entering a new phase of my career that includes leadership and helping grow a real estate presence in the Jacksonville market. I’m excited about the opportunity to not only continue serving my own clients, but also mentor, connect with and help develop other real estate professionals.
What sets me apart is that I truly view real estate as more than a transaction. My personal philosophy is centered around helping people move forward, in life and in housing. I want people to remember how I made them feel during the process, how well I represented them and that I operated with excellence and integrity. For me, that reputation and the relationships I’ve built are just as meaningful as any sales number.
How do you think about luck?
I believe luck has played a role in my journey, but I’ve learned that opportunity means very little if you aren’t prepared when it arrives. There have been moments in my career when the right client, connection, opportunity or conversation came at exactly the right time. Some might call that luck, but I also believe those moments were supported by years of building relationships, staying consistent and continuing to show up.
I’ve experienced what could be considered “bad luck” as well deals that didn’t work out, unexpected career changes, changing markets and seasons when things simply didn’t go according to plan. Looking back, some of those disappointments actually redirected me toward better opportunities and forced me to grow both personally and professionally.
Real estate has taught me that you can’t control every outcome, but you can control how prepared you are, how you treat people and what you do next. I’m grateful for the doors that have opened for me, but I’m equally grateful for the ones that didn’t. Both have played a part in getting me where I am today.
At this stage of my career, I would say I believe less in simply being “lucky” and more in preparation meeting opportunity. I try to stay ready for the next door that opens while also having the resilience to create another one when it doesn’t.
