Hi Latorie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always knew that I was very creative and love making things with my hands, especially accessories. When I started creating the bracelets I wanted them to be cute as button. I also wanted a lot of them to be meaningful, so I created bracelets for Cancer Survivors as well as Nurses.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth, there was fear of not making everything perfect, not meeting a customer expectation, not selling as many as I would like to. But I had to remember why I started so that made it easier to keep going.

My business name is LaLa Creations I sell handmade customize bracelets. I am also a Merchant Seaman. I am very proud of myself because no matter what obstacles came my way I never gave up, I kept going. I’m a strong believer that life is what you make it. You do good the universe will always reward you with what you deserve.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Jacksonville beautiful beaches. I love the fresh seafood and Southern cuisine. What I like the least is the hot and humid climate and the fact that some areas lack cultural and entertainment options.
