Today we’d like to introduce you to KALE.
Hi KALE, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m just a kid from Daytona, FL. I started off singing in the choir like a lot of us have.
From there, I was always in a band or orchestra in school. From my junior year in high school up until my senior year in college, I didn’t focus on music at all. It was sports and whatever else interested me. Music just kept figuring out how to find me along the way.
I took my career seriously in Spring 2019 and from there I kept growing
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth at all. I used to get distracted by what other artists were doing, thinking I should be on that level as well. Once I got out of that mindset the business side of the music business became important.
I’m nowhere near a businessman but I had to adjust and get up to speed on the industry. Trying to create is always the fun part, but the business and behind the scenes sometimes get in the way of that.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hip-hop artist with an R&B/Soul core. I’m always going to classify myself as a rapper, but I’m trying to change the narrative of how that is perceived. I make music and visuals that are reflections of what goes on in my life and situations that others can relate to.
The first proudest moment in my music career was opening for Deante’ Hitchcock. At that moment, I felt that I was capable of reaching a new level. My second proudest is any project that I create, albums, and EPs.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Stay true to yourself. No matter what the platform is, the size of the stage or visual products stay true to me.
