Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessica Vickers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Vickers.

Hi Jessica , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jessica Vickers. I am a mom, wife, full time anesthesiologist, and business owner. My motivation for founding The Cultivated Skin Company was exasperation with my overall skin health. When I reached my mid-thirties, my skin was a huge source of frustration and embarrassment for me. I tried countless skincare remedies and laser skin treatments to correct my skin to no avail. That’s when I decided to use my medical and scientific background as an MD to develop an all natural skin care product to improve my skin. With exhaustive research and a spark of ingenuity, I developed an all-natural facial oil focusing on collagen formation and supporting skin at the cellular level.

Our products feature camellia flower extract. Scientific research has found that this amazing flower is a natural collagen booster. In addition to building and preserving collagen, it also protects against environmental pollution and enhances the skin cell viability. This concept is what inspired the name of our facial oil: The Original Cell Survival Oil.

Our company is committed to making sure you have the purist product available, which is why we hand harvest and preserve all of the Camellia flower used in our formulations. While most skincare is made in a large lab that produces hundreds of products for different brands, we literally are taking the most natural approach possible and grow our Camellia flower from the ground up.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have had numerous success stories from our clients! Those testimonials and their before and after images are what keep us energized and going as a company. It’s very fulfilling to help someone who has given up on having healthier skin and a glowing complexion.
However, we do find that gaining visibility in a crowded skincare market is difficult when people are inundated with countless mass produced products in labs that promise to be the next miracle balm.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
A Family Affair!
When I started this company in 2022, it was a huge step outside of my comfort zone. I would have likely given up if it were not for the support and encouragement of my two sisters. When they noticed the remarkable improvement in my skin and then used the formula for themselves, they became my biggest cheerleaders and are now partners with me in the company! Their love and support mean the world to me and I am beyond fortunate to have them with me on this journey. The Cultivated Skin Company would not exist if not for their energy and determination.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
You can like and follow us on social media! Our products are available through our website and at select spas and boutiques throughout Georgia and Florida.
If you are a person looking for healthier skin and have exhausted other skincare treatments, I encourage you to give our formulas a try! You will find more moisturized skin, improved fine lines, and a healthy glow others will notice. You will gain all of this without the usual irritation and sun-sensitivity other products typically cause. The long term use of our Cell Survival Oil has slowed and reversed the signs of aging skin for me over the last two years. At 42 years old, I feel happy and more optimistic about my skin health than I did in my mid-30’s. We would love to do the same for you!
