Daily Inspiration: Meet Felicia Anderson Owner of Luxury Point Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Anderson.

Hi Felicia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
It was in 2015 when I realized that instead of being a model in front of the camera I truly flourished and fell in love with all things behind the camera. I begin photographing families at my church and even shot my first wedding there as well. It was up from there! In 2019, I officially said goodbye to my full-time job which I’d been at for almost nine years! That was a very scary leap to take but my faith was strong.

Walking away from corporate America was when I experienced a major shift in my business. I began photographing people all over the USA. I was reaching people who I had never known beforehand and traveling to beautiful places; which still blows my mind to this day. With the growth of my business, I then begin to long for my own space to create in but didn’t know how that was going to be possible with the pandemic hitting so hard.

I am so happy to say; that I found that space and officially launched Luxury Point Studio which is now open in a prime location here in downtown Jacksonville! Not only is it for me but a natural light curated space for creatives to rent and create in! There is nothing like it in Jacksonville, Florida and I am beyond ecstatic to share it!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has absolutely not been smooth.

As a creative, you always have “imposter syndrome” at times. Questioning are you good enough, is the going to work or should I even start. There is also the family aspect where you want to be able to provide but know where to draw that line so you’re not working ” too much”.

I am blessed to be able to say I’ve learned to juggle a work-life balance that is healthy for not just me but my family too. Of course, you have days where it can be super busy or just not your best day.

However, I always tell myself “Keep going, you got this!” My biggest struggle was understanding that I am good enough and not to be scared of my own potential.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I designed Luxury Point Studio to provide a curated space for creatives.

This space is like no other space in Jacksonville because of its beautiful creams and neutral tones, it boasts floor-to-ceiling windows; letting in ample amounts of natural light! This space is already known for its incredible view and upscale feel! Felicia V. Photography is where it all began and I specialize in wedding photography.

Known for capturing love stories with clean, bright true-to-life images. I’m most proud of connecting with people whom I’ve previously never known and who trust me to capture their stories. I feel that for me what sets me apart is my outlook and bubbly approach to everything. I love to laugh and provide an atmosphere where you feel like you can be your most silly self!

I love that I have a vision and my ability to bring a vision to life!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite memory will always be when I went to Disney World for the first time.

I was six years old (yes, I remember).

It was absolutely magical and I still remember meeting Mickey and giving him the biggest hug EVER. I was tiny but I remember even back then conquering my fear by getting on those ginormous rides (while shaking haha).
