Hi Caitlin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My path to entrepreneurship began with a love of travel and a desire to help others experience the world with ease and confidence. After a successful career in project management and franchise ownership, I founded Ambren Travel in 2012, initially focusing on family vacations and gradually expanding into luxury cruises, tours and custom curated travel experiences.
Over time, the agency grew through word of mouth and loyal repeat clients who appreciated the care and precision we bring to every itinerary. Today, Ambren Travel is recognized as one of the top travel agencies in the nation, known for our attention to detail in planning journeys tailored to each client’s style and interests.
For me, success has always been about relationships, understanding what matters most to my clients and delivering experiences that go beyond expectations. Helping others discover the joy of travel continues to be my greatest reward.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most entrepreneurs. Building a business from the ground up while balancing family life and an ever-changing industry has had its challenges. The travel world, in particular, can shift overnight, and success often depends on how quickly you can adapt.
The most difficult period came during the Covid-19 pandemic. Practically overnight, travel stopped, and I found myself managing a wave of cancellations, policy changes, and uncertainty, all while trying to support clients who were just as disappointed and confused. Restarting once travel reopened brought its own set of challenges, from new policies and supplier changes to rebuilding confidence in travel itself.
Looking back, though, those experiences strengthened Ambren Travel in ways I couldn’t have imagined. They taught me resilience, flexibility, and the importance of maintaining trust and communication no matter how turbulent the journey becomes.

What began as a passion for helping families plan memorable vacations has evolved into one of the top travel agencies in the nation, known for detail-oriented service and genuine care for each client’s unique vision.

I take the time to understand what matters most to each traveler, their interests, preferences, and priorities, and then recommend experiences that reflect that.
