AppleJohn_, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity and self-expression, whether through music, storytelling, or connecting with people. Guitar and music production became my first big outlets — creating, experimenting, and eventually diving into sync licensing to get my sound out into the world. More recently, I stumbled into pickleball, which quickly became my newest hyperfixation and has been life-changing. What started as just playing turned into building Noizy Pickleball, a way to share my journey, connect with others, and help people who are discovering the same addiction. Along the way, I’ve been asked to help with leagues, events, and even projects that push the sport forward. Today, I’m blending my passions for music, pickleball, and community into something bigger than myself — a lifestyle rooted in creativity, growth, and good vibes.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth road? Not even close. I’ve face-planted plenty of times — in music, in life, and definitely on the pickleball court (sometimes literally). I’ve wrestled with imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and that feeling of never being “enough,” but honestly those struggles are what taught me resilience and gave me my perspective today. Learning to love myself and stop taking life so seriously has been huge. Now, instead of stressing about being perfect, I focus on chasing joy, having fun, and letting the rest fall into place. And hey, if the biggest battle I face some days is sweating through three shirts before the first dink, I’d say I’m doing pretty alright.

I’m a musician, producer, and sync licensing artist who’s passionate about creating music that connects with people and becomes part of their experiences. I specialize in guitar-driven sounds, building energy with loops, and crafting tracks that feel alive — the kind that make someone roll down the windows, turn it up, and just feel it.
On the pickleball side, I’m a player, content creator, and community builder. Through Noizy Pickleball, I share my journey, tips, tools, and laughs with anyone discovering the sport or looking to level up their game. I’ve been able to meet incredible people, get involved in leagues and events, and help others find the joy and excitement that drew me to pickleball in the first place.
What I’m most proud of is being able to combine all of these passions into a lifestyle that’s authentic and contagious — inspiring people to chase what lights them up while having fun, being themselves, and remembering that we’re truly limitless. What sets me apart is that I don’t just do one thing or stay in one lane — I bring energy, creativity, and humor to everything I touch, whether it’s music, sport, or just connecting with people.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best: Jacksonville is alive — tons of things to do, events popping off, and enough food spots to keep a foodie busy for a lifetime! (Some of the best BBQ & Sushi I’ve EVER had)
What I like least: Honestly? My family isn’t here to share it all with me… and yeah, I miss them. But otherwise, this city’s a vibe. 🤘🏼
