Conversations with Susan Gasperson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Gasperson

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began in 2023 with a podcast I co-host with my best friend. It’s been an incredible experience sharing stories, humor, and life lessons, but over time, I realized I was craving something more intimate—a creative outlet that reflected my personal growth and the wisdom I’ve gathered throughout life.

As a mother and wife, I’ve learned so much about self-love and self-worth, especially the importance of creating space for myself amidst all the roles I play. That realization inspired me to create my first activity book, blending astrology, journaling, and creativity into an interactive experience. Publishing on Amazon was a leap of faith, one that challenged me to overcome deep-seated limiting beliefs.

From there, Cuddle Books was born—a brand dedicated to crafting cozy, meaningful activity books that inspire reflection, creativity, and connection. These projects have been a way for me to not only embrace my own growth but also share tools for others to do the same.

This last year and a half has been transformative. I’ve leaned into creativity, embraced my voice, and learned to honor my worth as both a creator and an individual. Every step, from podcasting to publishing, has been a testament to trusting my instincts, valuing myself, and staying true to my vision.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—more like a scenic one with plenty of bumps and detours along the way! Stepping into something new, whether it was podcasting, writing, or building my brand, came with its challenges. I’ve had to face my own limiting beliefs, like questioning if I was “good enough” or worrying about what others might think. Those internal struggles were just as tough as learning the practical side of things, like self-publishing and marketing.

As a mother and wife, balancing my personal goals with family life has been another layer of the journey. There were times I felt stretched thin or doubted if I could handle it all. But those bumps taught me to prioritize self-love, lean into my strengths, and give myself grace. Every challenge has helped me grow, and looking back, I’m grateful for the lessons that came with the struggles.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a self-published author, creative entrepreneur, and podcaster. My work centers on crafting interactive activity books under my brand, Cuddle Books, which combine creativity, self-reflection, and fun. From themed-inspired coloring pages to self-love activity guides, everything I create is designed to inspire others to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find joy in meaningful moments.

I also co-host a podcast that blends personal stories, advice, and humor to explore life’s ups and downs in a relatable, fun way. The podcast has been a space to connect with others, share experiences, and spark conversations that matter. It’s been such a rewarding way to complement my books and build a community around self-expression and growth.

What I’m most proud of is the impact my work has had on others. Hearing from people who use my books to relax, explore their thoughts, or even bond with loved ones—and from listeners who feel seen and inspired by our podcast—means the world to me. Each project reflects my personal journey, and knowing it resonates with others is incredibly fulfilling.

What sets me apart is the heart I pour into everything I create. Whether it’s through thoughtful journaling prompts, unique activities, or relatable stories on the podcast, I bring a personal touch that makes each experience feel like a conversation with a friend. My work isn’t just about creativity—it’s about connection, self-discovery, and empowerment.

Rooted in my own journey of learning self-love and self-worth, my projects stand out because they’re authentic and personal. It’s not just about the finished product; it’s about creating a space where people can embrace themselves, their growth, and their unique stories.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Definitely! I’m always leaning on tools and resources that help me stay aligned, creative, and informed.

For apps, I love astrology apps like The Pattern, Time Passages, and Moon Calendar, which keep me in sync with cosmic energy. I’m also a big fan of the Neutrino Design app for diving deeper into Human Design—it’s such a powerful tool for self-discovery and understanding how to flow with life.

When it comes to books, I’m all about anything astrology, Human Design, or Gene Key-related. These have been invaluable for not only my personal growth but also for adding depth to my creative projects, like my activity books.

For podcasts, I regularly tune into The Weekly Energy Boost, Astrology Now, and Daily Horoscopes with Stephanie Campos to stay inspired and connected to the collective energy. Of course, I can’t forget my own podcast, We Are Feral, where my co-host and I dive into life’s messy, hilarious, and transformative moments. It’s been such a joy to create a space for real conversations and connection.

These resources have been essential for doing my best—whether it’s creating, connecting, or simply navigating life with a little more awareness and intention.
