Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronisha Edwards.

Hi Ronisha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Working with people is something that I have always enjoyed. What I have come to realize over the years is how important it is to have an expert help you make a decision.

There is a sense of security when you have a professional to go help facilitate a big decision. I have been in the customer service in sales, for all of my adulthood. When I realized the impact that my service has, I knew it was time to kick it up a notch.

I decided to quit my career as a manager in sales for 16 years to pursue a career as a Florida Realtor. This decision was terrifying but also fulfilling. I knew that my gifts of helping others had to be used at a higher scale. I took my real estate exam in 2020 and failed twice.

The stress of the pandemic had a major effect on us all and I will admit that I second-guessed my decision to pursue this career. But after my 3rd attempt, I passed!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been a smooth ride at all.

The ups and downs of this industry have been tough, but it has all been a great learning experience. The biggest struggle that I have had in this industry is finding the right brokerage to work with. There are so many options, and each brokerage has so many different training programs that are very beneficial.

It was difficult to find a fit for myself, where I can thrive to my full capability while continuing to be myself and feel accepted.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Florida Realtor servicing all of Northeast Florida. I help buyers make one of the biggest purchases in their life. Navigating homebuyers through this fast-paced housing Market is my specialty. I help military families find the perfect home for their families to relocate.

This job requires a lot of dedication and trust. My buyers are trusting me to find their home and coordinate this major transaction without them being present. The look on the faces of my clients when they see their new home is what keeps me motivated.

I have had so many days where I question the reasons that I am doing this, I am so proud to have not given up, even when things are not going as expected. What sets me apart from others is my ability to stay true to myself.

I have the ability to stay calm during high-stress situations and get the job done.
