Conversations with Nadia Queiroz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Queiroz.

Hi Nadia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Nadia Queiroz, I’m 32 years old, originally from Portugal, and I’ve been living in the United States since 2007. I’m licensed in esthetics and permanent makeup, but my real passion has become the lash industry.

I started doing lashes in 2020. At that time, I was looking for more flexibility so I could spend more time with my son while still building a career for myself. That decision completely changed my life.

In New Jersey, I opened a small home-based studio where I worked with clients one-on-one. Then in 2022, I took a big step and moved to Florida. That’s when I opened my first official space, Nadia Queiroz – TheLuxStudio, in Palm Coast. In less than two years, my schedule was fully booked, which was such a blessing and a confirmation that I was on the right path.

What I love most about my work is not only making women look beautiful, but also helping them feel empowered. For me, lashes are more than just a beauty service—they give women confidence, and that confidence can carry into every area of their lives.

My goal now is to keep growing, not just as an artist but as a mentor. I know what it’s like to start from scratch and to wonder if success is possible. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other lash artists build their businesses and believe in their own potential.

Opening my studio and building a fully booked business in such a short time has been one of my proudest achievements, but I feel like my journey is only just beginning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, my journey hasn’t always been easy. When I first started in the lash industry, I faced many challenges. Building a clientele from zero was tough—I remember days when I doubted myself and wondered if I had made the right choice.

Balancing motherhood with growing a business was also challenging. I wanted to give my son the time and attention he deserved while also building something meaningful for our future. Finding that balance wasn’t always easy, but it motivated me to stay disciplined and focused.

When I moved from New Jersey to Florida in 2022, it felt like starting all over again. Here in Florida, it was actually the second time I had to rebuild my business from the ground up. At first, I thought everything I had worked for was lost. Palm Coast is a very quiet area, and I was convinced there wouldn’t be enough people interested in my services.

On top of that, I faced new challenges in motherhood—I became pregnant and welcomed my baby girl, who is now 9 months old. Balancing a newborn, my son, and a business I was rebuilding from scratch was not easy. There were days when I was exhausted and questioned how I could possibly manage it all.

But I was completely wrong to doubt myself. Not only did I rebuild, but I achieved double of what I ever could in New Jersey. The support from this community and the growth I’ve experienced here has been incredible, and it showed me that sometimes what feels like a setback is actually an opportunity for something much greater.

I’ve learned that challenges are part of growth. Every obstacle pushed me to become stronger, more determined, and more creative. Looking back, the struggles that felt overwhelming at the time are now the reason I’ve built the business I have today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in eyelash extensions, brows, and permanent makeup. Lashes are my true passion because of the way they can completely transform not just someone’s look, but also their confidence. I also love working with brows and PMU because they frame the face and give women the freedom of waking up every day already feeling put together.

My slogan is “making women smile through their eyes,” and that really reflects what my work is about. For me, beauty is more than just an aesthetic—it’s an experience. When a client looks in the mirror after their appointment and their whole expression lights up, that’s the moment I live for.

What I’m most proud of is being able to combine artistry with empowerment. I want every woman who sits in my chair to feel beautiful, confident, and capable of anything. That passion also extends into my role as a mentor. Today, I not only create looks for my clients, but I also guide other lash artists and beauty professionals on how to build successful businesses. I know how life-changing it can be to turn a passion into a career, and I love helping other women achieve that same freedom and success.

What sets me apart is this dual mission—transforming beauty on the outside while also helping women transform their confidence and their future. That’s what drives me every single day.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, my plans go beyond just growing TheLuxStudio. My vision is to continue empowering women in two ways—through beauty and through business.

On the beauty side, I want to expand my services and keep perfecting my artistry in lashes, brows, and permanent makeup, always maintaining the luxury experience my clients know me for.

On the mentorship side, I’m passionate about helping other lash artists and beauty professionals grow. I plan to keep building my mentorship programs so I can guide more women, not just in mastering their craft, but also in creating businesses that give them financial freedom and flexibility.

I’m also working on new projects that reflect my brand and lifestyle, including a clothing line designed for beauty professionals who want to feel comfortable yet elegant while doing what they love.

For me, the future is about continuing to create, to teach, and to inspire. My ultimate goal is to leave a mark on this industry by showing women that beauty is powerful, and with the right mindset and tools, they can achieve so much more than they ever thought possible.
