Today we’d like to introduce you to Leidy Herrera.
Hi Leidy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I fell in love with photography when my daughter was born. I started to take photos of her monthly and loved the idea of expressing my creativity through photos. I bought a camera and started practicing with family and friends at first until I started to take on real clients when I was more comfortable. I took photography classes and practiced a lot to get to where I’m at today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was definitely challenging at the beginning to stay motivated when I did not have many clients. It is also very hard balancing the business, family, and a full-time job.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in newborn and maternity photography. It is truly a beautiful stage and I love capturing timeless photos for my clients. It is very important to me to make my clients feel comfortable and have a peaceful experience as I know how difficult this stage can be for moms.
I pour my heart into every session and try to create unique photos for my clients. Also, keep in mind any ideas that they might bring to me.
I’m very proud of my achievements in the photography world. I’m nowhere near where I want to be but I’m very excited about what the future holds.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’m truly so blessed and lucky to have people around me that supported my dream of having my photography business. Also very thankful for those clients/friends that believed in me when I first started.
