Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Jung.
Hi Leah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my real estate career in 2020, and I’ll never forget those early days every challenge, every moment of doubt, and the struggle of trying to sell that first home. There were times I felt completely defeated and seriously considered walking away. But everything changed when I met other agents who shared their stories of success. Their encouragement lit a spark in me and reminded me why I started.
As a single mom, taking a leap of faith and putting all my eggs in one basket was scary, but I knew commitment was the only path forward. I doubled down, showing up on social media, making calls every day, and staying consistent. Eventually, my hard work paid off. My business grew, and it grew enough for me to buy my first home for me and my daughter one of the proudest moments of my life.
When the market shifted and things slowed down, I didn’t stop. Instead, I invested in myself. I earned my broker’s license and later my life insurance license so I could help clients protect their assets because a home is often the biggest investment they’ll ever make.
I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that brought me to where I am today. My hope is to inspire others to pursue entrepreneurship, including my own daughter. If my story shows anything, it’s that with resilience, faith, and dedication, you can build the life you dream of one step at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all my journey has been anything but smooth, but every challenge shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. When the market shifted, I found myself relying heavily on my savings and even draining my accounts just to keep my business moving forward. As a single mom, that was terrifying. But I was determined to build something meaningful for my daughter. She tells me all the time that she wants to be “just like mommy,” and that alone pushed me to keep going.
I’ll never forget maxing out my credit cards on advertising, taking risks I wasn’t sure would pay off, and wondering if I had made the right decisions. I poured everything I had time, money, energy into this dream. Those moments were scary, but they were necessary.
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for those sacrifices. They taught me resilience, grit, and faith in myself. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t taken those risks and believed in the future I was working toward.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work in real estate as a Broker Associate, and my long-term goal is to build my own brokerage, one that truly pours into its agents, giving them the tools, guidance, and support to grow and become successful in this industry. I believe that when agents thrive, clients thrive, and communities thrive.
What sets me apart is my journey. I didn’t come from a place of ease or privilege, I came from struggle, determination, and the mindset that quitting wasn’t an option. Because I know what it’s like to wonder if homeownership is even possible, I have a special passion for helping families who feel the same way. Guiding someone into a home they never thought they could have is the most rewarding part of what I do. I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, especially earning my broker’s license. That achievement didn’t come easily. I spent countless nights studying after my daughter went to sleep because I didn’t want to sacrifice our time together. And truthfully, I’ve never been a naturally strong test taker, so it took commitment, discipline, and nonstop studying podcasts, guides, everything. But I pushed through, and it changed the trajectory of my career. I’m excited for what the future holds. Every step of this journey has taught me that with persistence, passion, and purpose, anything is possible, and I can’t wait to see where this path leads next.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is creating moments that matter both for my clients and for my daughter. Helping families who once believed homeownership was out of reach finally walk through the door of their own home is something I never get tired of. Seeing their relief, pride, and excitement reminds me why I do what I do. It gives me goosebumps every single time, and sometimes a little tear even slips down.
Another thing that brings me joy is having the opportunity to give back. I’ve been the mom standing in line at food banks, grateful for the people who made those resources possible. Now, being able to donate and support other moms who are struggling is one of the most meaningful parts of my success. It feels like coming full circle.
On a personal level, having a career with flexibility means everything to me. Being able to take trips with my daughter, spending time with friends and family, and all of my nieces and nephews getting to explore new places, and make memories together without being tied to a strict 9–5 is something I cherish deeply. It’s the kind of freedom I always hoped to give her, and it motivates me to keep pushing forward.
Those moments helping others achieve something life changing, giving back to families in need, and creating a life full of experiences with my daughter are what truly make me happy.
