Conversations with KEVIN JONES

Today we’d like to introduce you to KEVIN JONES.

Hi KEVIN, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Of course so in 2012 I was coming out of a workforce situation that was overworked and underpaid. One of my best friends was in the Party Rental Business who had just started 2 years ago so he was in the building stage. I asked him about the ins and outs to see if it was something that piqued my interest. After he explained it I was down to work and learn more about it. At the time he told me I could work but he wasn’t able to pay me because he was fully staffed and just couldn’t afford another employee so I said cool I just want to see how was the work. I’m a quick learner so I caught on fast after a few days I had enough knowledge I felt to move forward. So being that my partner didn’t need me i coincidentally had another partner of mine who had a friend in the business i learned so much over the next 2 years working for him I was up for the challenge to go in business for myself. Thanks to my family for believing in me and investing in me financially, my partner and former Boss I gained enough knowledge to be where I am today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No definitely not smooth at all. They say the 1st 5 years are the toughest and I can attest to that. It’s alot more to it than working and making money. What they won’t tell you is most of the behind the scenes work is what makes or breaks the business. The biggest obstacle in the beginning was simply just learning how to run a successful business and time management.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Party rental Business. We rent out inflatables, interactive games, concessions, tents, table and chairs

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I won a contest describing my wonderful mother on mother’s Day and they put me in the local paper for doing so
