Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Tucker.
Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From Blueprints to Bouquets: My Journey to Building a Life I Love
For much of my professional life, I worked in the construction industry, where I developed a deep understanding of how spaces are built from the ground up. My experience spanned everything from interior design and build-out to Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, BAS systems, and Site Civil/Land Development. I started out in an administrative role and, through hard work and curiosity, advanced to Assistant Project Manager in the Commercial Markets sector.
During those years, I discovered more than just the technical side of construction—I learned how to work closely with the public, and I became fascinated by how communities grow, change, and take shape. That fascination sparked a new passion: I wanted to be more directly involved in helping individuals and families choose the communities where they would live, grow, and thrive.
As a Florida native, real estate felt like a natural next step. It gave me the opportunity to merge my understanding of infrastructure with a heartfelt desire to guide people through some of life’s most important decisions—choosing a home and a place to belong.
At the same time, my four children were becoming adults and beginning their own journeys. I had always told them, “Do what you love, and the money will follow—you’ll never work a day in your life.” It was time for me to take my own advice.
That’s when I launched a unique mobile floral trailer and bar called Jennie Blooms with a slogan “Blooming into a New Era”, combining my real estate business with moments of joy and celebration. Through a build-your-own-bouquet experience, I’ve had the privilege of creating floral arrangements for my home buyers’ dining tables as well as for weddings, baby showers, birthdays, and other special gatherings. It’s become so much more than a business—it’s a way to be part of the memories that matter most in people’s lives.
Today, I’m still growing, learning, and deeply grateful. I believe my greatest blessing is the opportunity God has given me to bless others. Whether I’m handing someone the keys to their new home or handing them a bouquet at their baby shower, I’m reminded daily that joy is found in service—and I am thankful for each and every moment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I decided to become a real estate agent in 2020, the market was incredibly competitive—multiple offer situations, bidding wars, and high pressure to make each offer stand out. It was a challenge not only to navigate that intensity but to help my clients stay optimistic and not get discouraged. Now, the market has shifted again. High interest rates have introduced a new kind of hesitation, and many buyers feel stuck, unsure if now is the right time to make a move. One of my biggest struggles today is educating people on why waiting isn’t always the best answer—and showing them the creative solutions available to work around current conditions.
On the floral side, I didn’t expect my mobile flower trailer to take off as quickly as it did. It was exciting, but also overwhelming at times—especially during Florida’s hot summer months, which made outdoor events more physically demanding than I anticipated. Balancing the logistics, weather, and high demand taught me a lot about adaptability. I’ve had to learn on the go, make adjustments, and put systems in place that make things more efficient for myself and more enjoyable for my clients. Every challenge has helped me grow, and I’m learning to embrace the unexpected.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Florida-based real estate agent with a background in construction and commercial development, which gives me a unique edge in helping clients not only find the right home—but also understand the value, potential, and functionality of a property. I specialize in helping families and individuals find the right community where they can grow, thrive, and build lasting memories. I’m known for my attention to detail, patience, and commitment to making sure each client feels informed and confident at every step of the process.
In addition to real estate, I also own a mobile floral trailer and bar, which offers a “build-your-own bouquet” experience for events like weddings, baby showers, birthdays, and community gatherings. I started this to add something joyful and personal to people’s most meaningful moments—and it’s grown into a business I’m incredibly proud of.
What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about the people I serve. Whether it’s helping someone close on their dream home or watching them light up while creating a flower bouquet, I believe the little moments matter. My background in both construction and creative event services allows me to blend professionalism with a personal touch—and I think clients can feel that.
What I’m most proud of is being able to live out the advice I’ve always given my children: do what you love. I’ve created a career that allows me to serve others in multiple ways, and that’s the biggest win of all.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Jacksonville is how centrally located we are—you can be at the beach or the river within 20 minutes. It’s the best of both worlds! I also really enjoy the dining scene here and the strong focus on family and community. There’s always something to do, whether it’s visiting Four Square, exploring Congaree and Penn, or just spending time outdoors, which is something I truly love. Florida’s natural beauty makes it easy to enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle year-round.
If I had to pick something I like least, I’d say the traffic during morning and afternoon commutes. It can definitely get congested, especially during peak hours. That said, I try not to complain too much—it’s still better than many other cities!
