Today we’d like to introduce you to Inferna Vesper.
Hi Inferna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I didn’t always feel like I belonged. I didn’t have a lot of friends, I was often the one left out, and for a long time, I struggled with insecurity and finding confidence in who I was. I was the one who was terrified to even jump into a ball pit—so it’s almost funny that I eventually found myself choosing to hang upside down in the air.
In 2022, I moved from Flagler Beach, Florida, to Jacksonville to attend UNF. It was a huge change for me. I had graduated high school during COVID and spent my first two years of college online, so moving to a bigger city by myself, without knowing many people, felt like starting over.
That same year, I discovered aerial arts—or, as I like to say, aerial found me. What started with a co worker simply inviting me to a class became an art form, a passion, and eventually a part of who I am
What started as something new quickly became so much more. Aerial gave me a way to express myself, challenge myself, and build a confidence I didn’t have growing up. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone and showed me that I was capable of becoming someone stronger than the person I once believed myself to be.
I went on to graduate from UNF with my bachelor’s degree and begin my career, but I’ve always known that I wanted more for myself than simply following the traditional path. I wanted to create. I wanted to perform. I wanted to build something of my own and, hopefully, inspire other people along the way.
That is where Inferna Vesper was born.
Inferna became the stronger, more confident version of the woman I needed to see growing up. Through her, I allow myself to be ambitious, creative, expressive, and unapologetic about taking up space.
As my artistry has grown, so have I. Most recently, I began combining two worlds that make me feel powerful—aerial and fire—creating AIR X FIRE.
What means the most to me is knowing that the insecure girl who once felt left out and like she doesn’t fit in, grew into a woman willing to put herself in the air, light her art on fire, and be seen.
And I’m still growing. I’m still learning. I’m still becoming her.
Outside of aerial, I’m still someone who enjoys the simple things—visiting local coffee shops, shopping small, connecting with people, and finding inspiration in everyday life.
My journey with aerial has taught me that sometimes the thing that changes your life isn’t something you were looking for.
Sometimes, it finds you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is necessarily a smooth road when you’re growing and striving to create the life you truly want for yourself. Growth isn’t supposed to be completely linear.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning to give myself grace. I often catch myself hyperfixating on what I’m doing wrong rather than recognizing how much I’m learning, growing, and improving from one performance, event, or opportunity to the next. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, and that’s something I constantly have to remind myself.
Imposter syndrome still creeps in from time to time. I question whether I’m doing enough, progressing fast enough, or fully becoming the person and artist I envision myself to be. It can be easy to compare where I am now to where I want to be and completely overlook how far I’ve already come.
I’m learning that growth isn’t about becoming the perfect version of myself overnight. It’s about continuing to show up, taking chances, learning from the moments that don’t go as planned, and allowing myself to be proud of each version of me along the way.

Inferna is an insured aerial and fire artist, performer, and instructor. My work blends passion, precision, creativity, and artistry while continuing to evolve through ongoing training and exploration within the circus and performance industry.
A growing focus of my artistry is AIR X FIRE—bringing the worlds of aerial and fire arts together to create performances that feel powerful, and are visually captivating. I’m passionate about pushing my creativity beyond comfort zones and developing a style that feels my own.
I’m also an aerial instructor at InShape Ladies Fitness in Jacksonville, Florida. Teaching has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I love introducing others to aerial arts and watching someone accomplish something they once believed they could never do. Being able to help others build confidence, strength, and self-expression through aerial is something I’m incredibly proud of.
What sets me apart is that my work is about more than performing. I want my art to make people feel something—whether that’s excitement, empowerment, vulnerability, or inspiration..
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
There is so much value in learning from one another. Be part of a community that supports you, challenges you, and encourages you to grow. Allow yourself to receive constructive feedback and learn from those around you—because when we support each other’s growth, we all can rise together.
