Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Mosedale.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Wanted to be a professional skateboarder as a kid. Learned photography so I could submit images to obtain sponsorships. Turned out I was an excellent photographer. Transitioned into a luxury real estate photographer. Took a small job for a travel company in Italy that turned into a life changing career move. Ended up spending years off and on working all around Italy. Photographing castles, villas, mega yachts, and all sorts of luxury properties for the luxury travel business. Along the way I began to shoot landscape and cityscape for myself. After a while I had a pretty large fine art portfolio. So I opened an art gallery in Santa Fe New Mexico. Now that is all I do. I am in about twenty large art shows a year and do very well. I travel the world going to hard to reach places to take pictures. I have been everywhere. About to spend the summer in Portugal. Always mixing business with pleasure. I had started Jiu Jitsu back in the 90’s and now I am a third degree black belt. I teach Brazilian jiu jitsu for fun in my spare time all around the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I was a broke artist in my twenties. By thirty my life had grown quite easy. There is a lot to learn about my industry.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My style is distinctly mine. people try and copy it but its not easy.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I am extremely driven. All self taught. Now I could right a book.
