Today we’d like to introduce you to Toia Wallace.
Toia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I established my first brick and mortar business, an after-hour spa, on the brink of a pandemic in March 2020. A few months later, I capitalized on an opportunity and added drug testing services to it. However, I wanted more. I wanted my lab to have its own identity. So, I signed up for training, earned certifications, accumulated resources, and ultimately created Jace Laboratories and Screening LLC in the summer of 2020.
The lab offered a wide range of pre-employment services and soon became the #1 after-hour drug testing collection site in the North Florida region. Over time, it grew internally and externally from a single collection site to become a leading provider of a broad spectrum of drug testing and laboratory services, also offering training to individuals planning to start their labs.
Jace Lab wasn’t my first rodeo, and I had previously worked as a Medical Assistant at the Sea World in Orlando, Florida. Because I had been providing drug testing services professionally for years, I had a head start and didn’t have to go through the normal hoops to become a certified trainer.
I enrolled in a training program and knew from the get-go this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to train, empower, and build others. With this vision, I formulated JL Consulting Group and Jace Lab Training Institute – A place where people don’t just learn how to become certified collectors but also learn how to build a legacy and create an enduring business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been completely smooth, but it has certainly been rewarding. I spent countless nights researching the market, learning the fundamentals, and mastering how to build a successful business from scratch. I have to admit stability was hard to get initially. There were days with full bookings and some with none, but I kept moving forward, and the numbers improved gradually.
Today, I can proudly say that I am a full-time entrepreneur, wife, mother, coach/trainer, and mentor. I thank God for the strength he gave me to ride the slumps and move ahead with my head held high. The obstacles and adversities I faced along the way taught me to make every day count, never stop learning, and live life to the fullest.

Jace Laboratories & Screening LLC is a certified WOSB (Woman-owned Small Business) that offers 24/7 pre-employment and diagnostic testing services to the private and public sectors.
Our services/drug test screenings include hair specimen collection, urine specimen collection, oral/saliva specimen collection, breath alcohol test screening, DNA testing, DOT and Non-DOT drug screening, diagnostic testing, STD/STI testing, Allergy testing, and more. We also conduct background checks and fingerprinting services for all purposes.
Jace Labs’ subsidiary entity, JL consulting Group & Jace Labs Training Institute, helps men and women build their lives, capitalize on growth opportunities, and accomplish their dreams.
