I was first introduced to permanent jewelry through TikTok, and I was immediately intrigued by the concept. It quickly became something I could see myself truly enjoying. After doing my research, I invested in a welder and the necessary supplies and began training to learn the process. To build my skills and confidence, I practiced on friends, family, and even myself. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to grow my business and now offer permanent jewelry at pop-up events with local businesses, markets, and private parties.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has not always been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. I work full time, attend night school, and I am a mother to two young children, so balancing everything can certainly be challenging. However, building this business has shown me that I am capable of far more than I ever imagined. As a small business owner, word of mouth has been incredibly important. Finding the courage to put myself out there was difficult at first, but it has allowed me to grow my business, connect with my community, and build meaningful friendships with other business owners and professionals.
