Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Movsovitz.
Hi Seth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
It could describe the feelings and emotions of being a father in a million ways in a million different words and phrases. For Seth Movsovitz, fatherhood has not only been an honor and a privilege but a bond and kinship with his fellow fathers. Out of that camaraderie, DadFrat was born! DadFrat is a brand and line of products created with an intent to remind one another of the great pride and responsibility a dad has in the care, guidance, and love for our great generations to come!
From the time Seth first jokingly remarked, “Welcome to the fraternity of dads!” a quote that has become his calling card as he greets friends and family members on their new adventure and journey in parenthood, he began to work on his idea. His initial combination of the Greek letters, Delta Alpha Delta, made decent traction, and if the time and effort had been available to him then, perhaps this release would be dated 15 years prior! Nonetheless, the wheels were in motion.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are in the infant stages. Our brand is growing organically. There are many ways to grow a company or brand, with social media being the true catalyst. Our brand message is highly positive and personalized.
As you know, we’re big fans of DadFrat. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
DadFrat is the official brand for proud dads who love their kids. Our brand is the answer to the age-old question: “What do we get, dad?” For the birth of a child, Christmas, birthdays, and of course, Father’s Day.
We welcome all proud dads. There is no current brand that captures our pride and love for being dads; DadFrat fills that void. Our brand is for all dads, regardless of race, religion, politics, socio-economic status, and sexual orientation.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Uniqueness and timing make us first in the market because no other brand aims to do what we are doing. Timing also because the role of dads has changed dramatically in the past 20 to 30 years—more stay-at-home dads, more same-sex marriages, more wives working longer hours, etc. We are much more hands-on and involved in raising our children.
