Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My love for travel has always been a huge part of who I am. I’ve always had a deep passion and desire to see the world, explore new cultures, and create unforgettable experiences. Friends and family often came to me for help planning their vacations, and they were the first to encourage me to turn that passion into a business.
In 2018, I decided to take a leap of faith and officially start my journey in the travel industry. I enrolled in the Travel Agent course at Ashworth College, where I learned the ins and outs of the travel world and graduated with honors. Shortly after, I joined Cruises and Tours Unlimited, a well-known host agency that provided me with even more in-depth training and support to build my career.
I’ll never forget the moment I received my first commission check—it was just $36.00, but it felt like a million to me. It was proof that I was on the right path and that my dream was becoming a reality. Since then, my business has grown tremendously. I’ve built lasting relationships with my clients, expanded my services, and increased my sales far beyond where I started.
Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to showcase my travel services at events around town, including the Florida Bridal & Wedding Expo, connecting with amazing people who share my love for travel and adventure.
What started as a passion has blossomed into a fulfilling career, and I’m proud to help others create lifelong memories through travel. The journey continues — and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest obstacles I encountered when starting my travel agency were navigating social media, expanding my services, and mastering CRM (Customer Relationship Management). I wanted to build stronger connections with my clients, retain existing ones, and explore new products and services to enhance their travel experiences.
Through additional training provided by my host agency, I gained a solid understanding of CRM systems and how to use them effectively. Eventually, I took a bold step and expanded my business by adding more services, including a rental car partnership through TURO and hosting with Airbnb.
While I still find social media engagement to be a challenge, I’m proud of the steady growth I’ve achieved on a more personal and professional level. Thankfully, I’ve reached a point where I no longer have to rely solely on social media to attract new clients—most now come through referrals and returning customers, which is the greatest reward of all.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My personal advice to any new agent just starting out is to never be discouraged by small beginnings. Building a successful travel agency takes time, patience, and consistency. One of the most important keys to success is continuous education — learn as much as you can about destinations, travel trends, and the tools available to you. Take advantage of every opportunity to grow your knowledge.
Also, be bold! Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things to advance your business. Every new idea, experience, and connection can bring you one step closer to success.
