Today we’d like to introduce you to Karlina Rodman.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I didn’t wake up one day and decide to start a cleaning company. It grew out of real life, real work, and a lot of learning along the way.
I’ve spent years in and around the cleaning industry, working hard, paying attention to details, and realizing how much a clean space actually matters. Over time, I started noticing something: a lot of people needed dependable, thorough cleaning they could actually trust—but weren’t always getting it.
At the same time, I wanted more. More control over my schedule. More pride in my work. More time with my family. I didn’t want to just work in a job forever; I wanted to build something of my own that I could stand behind.
So I took what I already knew, added a strong work ethic, and built BEK Cleaning Service with one simple goal: do the job right, every single time. No shortcuts. No rushed cleans. Just honest, detailed work.
Since then, we’ve grown through word of mouth, repeat clients, and relationships with people who value quality and consistency. Whether it’s a home, an office, or a commercial space, I treat every clean like it’s my own place—because my name is on it.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited about where we’re going. This business isn’t just about cleaning—it’s about trust, reliability, and showing up the way I’d want someone to show up for me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting and growing this business hasn’t been easy, and I think that’s important to be honest about.
One of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced is simply doing everything myself. In the beginning, I was the cleaner, the scheduler, the marketer, the bookkeeper, and the problem solver. There were days I was exhausted but still had to show up and give 100% because my clients were counting on me.
Another challenge was building trust from scratch. When you’re new, people don’t know your name yet. You have to prove yourself over and over through your work, your consistency, and how you handle issues when they come up. That takes time, patience, and a lot of self-discipline.
I’ve also faced financial pressure. There were moments where growth felt slow, equipment was expensive, and every decision mattered. I had to learn how to price my work correctly, say no to jobs that weren’t a good fit, and stop undervaluing myself just to stay busy.
Balancing business and family has been another real challenge. I started this to create more flexibility, but in the early stages, the business demanded more of me, not less. Learning how to set boundaries, protect my time, and still grow has been one of the hardest lessons.
And honestly, self-doubt was a big obstacle too. Wondering if I was doing enough, if I was making the right moves, or if I should play it safe instead of pushing forward. But every obstacle taught me something and each one made me stronger, more confident, and more committed to what I’m building.
I didn’t let the hard parts stop me. I used them to learn, adjust, and keep going. And that’s what got me to where I am today.
As you know, we’re big fans of BEK Cleaning Service LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
BEK Cleaning Service provides professional commercial and residential cleaning, along with pressure washing and specialized services like move-in/move-out and post-construction cleans. We work with homeowners, offices, property managers, and businesses that need consistent, reliable cleaning they don’t have to worry about.
We’re known for being thorough, dependable, and detail-driven. We don’t rush jobs, and we do not miss anything. Whether it’s a home or a commercial space, our focus is on clean you can actually see and feel. A lot of our clients come to us because they’ve tried other companies and wanted a higher standard.
What really sets us apart is care and consistency. I’m very hands-on with the business, and my name is attached to every service we provide. We show up when we say we will, communicate clearly, and treat every space with respect. We also build long-term relationships instead of chasing quick jobs.
I’m most proud of the reputation we’ve built. BEK Cleaning Service has grown mainly through word of mouth and repeat clients, and that means everything to me. People trust us with their homes and businesses, and that trust is something I don’t take lightly.
I want people to know that BEK Cleaning Service is built on integrity, hard work, and pride in what we do. We’re not just here to clean we’re here to make people’s lives easier, their spaces healthier, and their businesses run smoother. When someone hires us, they’re getting a team that genuinely cares about the quality of the work and the experience they receive.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Its funny actually. I think if you asked anyone growing up. I spent a lot of my time cleaning even as a kid. Cleaning for my parents. Cleaning families houses. Cleaning neighbors houses. When I was 8 I started cleaning neighbors houses for a little extra cash. I always listened to music. Loved animals. Loved hiking, kayaking.
