Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenn Weeks.
Hi Jenn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
On the back of a charter bus, while on a women’s outing, a young lady and I were discussing our singleness and the encounters we’d had. After the trip, a woman approached me, saying she thought I was funny and had a friend that was putting on a comedy show that she wanted me to be a part of. I’d never really written material but a few months later I did my first comedy show. It ended up being a great show. After that, I began writing, watching and studying comedy and developing my craft. I’m definitely in love with this art form.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
LOL, definitely not a smooth road, but absolutely worth the ride. My biggest struggle has been myself. I’m my own worst critic, which can be both good and bad. There have been times I’ve let my overthinking get the best of me and other times when I’ve let fear win. However, those struggles are not ones that can’t be overcome.
