Hi Donna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My career started in the finance industry, followed by education and fundraising for the arts.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
I’ve been blessed to have a smooth road with quality mentors.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The mission of the First Coast Cultural Center is to bring the arts into the life of the community through Arts Education, Exhibitions, and Outreach and by honoring a Donor-Driven Philosophy. The center has been around for 27 years with a successful track record! I am the president and executive director. My motto is “Success is imminent.” We offer classes and workshops for people of all ages. We live our mission by bringing an after-school enrichment arts program, Kick Start to St. Johns County schools. Some programs are visual arts, music, dance, drama, lectures, ceramics, etc. Our outreach program is Sound Connections(R) Music Therapy for children with disabilities, also in St. Johns schools.
