Today we’d like to introduce you to Darrisa Daniels.

Hi Darrisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I realized that I was never taught the importance of financial literacy in grade school. This sparked a passion in me to become free in every aspect of my life especially financially. When I gained this enlightenment, I desired to teach others the same.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were definitely many struggles along the way.

However, I was very persistent. During my personal journey to financial freedom, I thought that working hard and obtaining a higher education would be a good place to start. Furthermore, in time I realized that I was getting myself into more debt by obtaining a very costly education funded by government loans accruing interest.

I began to struggle with paying off debt and I had no plan as to how I could get out of it. It was at this moment that I completely felt that my back was against the wall.

Daniels Financial Planning LLC specializes in helping everyday people reach extraordinary goals. We have a passion to teach people of all ages the importance of managing their finances and staying out of debt.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned along the way is to work smart and not hard. You need to make your money work for you and not let it control you. Passive income is key and you should not trade your time for money.
