Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a mom of 3 who’s always looking for family-friendly things to do around Jax. That can be difficult to find and like most moms, feel like there are a lack of activities geared towards kids and families. So I decided to do something about it on my own. Inspired by the trend in China, I decided to open my own Splatter & Paint Studio to provide a fun experience for people of all ages!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a business in itself can be difficult. But opening a business off of a new concept in which not too many people are familiar. Coupled with being a newly single mom…it was definitely an obstacle to overcome!
As you know, we’re big fans of Barkum’s Art of Fun. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a paint and splatter studio that offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a new and fun paint splatter experience where splatter goers get to suit up in head to toe protective gear, and enclose themselves in a colorful room meant for splattering paint on a canvas, the walls or each other.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Establishing a legacy for my kids was the main motivator for pursuing this unique business idea. One of our splatter or paint studios are named in honor of my kiddos, To show them that you can go from an idea to bringing something to fruition would be all I need to consider this a success!
