Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Avila.
Hi Brandon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been an Auto Technician for 20 years working at various shops. One of the shops I worked at was a Dodge dealership. While working at Dodge I met Eli Ankou through a mutual friend and he needed help with repairing his Hellcat. After determining what would fix his Hellcat Eli decided to also upgrade his car. After a long weekend we finished his car and soon after went entered a ½ mile race in Ocala. The day before the race I met Eli and his friends to make sure everything is loaded. That’s where I met Dr. Chadd Eaglin. The next week we has a meeting with about 7-8 people about starting an auto shop. After about 6 months it dwindled down to just Eli, Chadd, and I. Finally after 4 years we opened Down South Power on Nov 6th 2023.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our biggest struggle was finding a good location for our shop.
