Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I have always been interested in doing multiple things and being multi-passionate. It took most of my 20s to realize what this meant for me. Growing up, I was never raised in an environment that taught me about entrepreneurship. There was always a stigma around entrepreneurship and those who didn’t fit into that perfect box. This generational mindset taught us that you must go to college and get a normal 9 to 5 job.
When covid hit, I had just left my stable job in the corporate world and was pursuing a degree in civil engineering. Covid forced me to pause when schools shut down, which led to me re-evaluating my life and what I was doing. At this time, I was introduced to the real estate world and investing, so I decided that I would get my real estate license during this interim period. Becoming a realtor eventually led me to Property Management Inc (PMI). PMI is a national franchise in the real estate and property management world. Shortly after, I was lucky enough to meet my incredible business partner, and we opened our franchise, PMI Palm Valley, specializing in Vacation Rental Property Management in Florida. Being able to open this company combined so many of my passions into one – I can maintain my real estate career and significantly help investors. I not only take care of their incredible properties but also help them achieve the maximum return on their investments, all while helping people go on vacation and creating a 5-star experience for these guests. During the time PMI Palm Valley was coming together, I also had another business venture already in the works, my mobile bar company, The Tipsy Hitch. This was something I had imagined and worked towards for over a year, and finally, in 2021, I purchased an old rusted-out horse trailer with a vision, and I got to work. It took about 4 months, countless hours, and many late nights to transform the trailer into the bar it is today, but we did it. The Tipsy Hitch is a full-service mobile bar to help bring your dream events to life. My mission with this company is to completely redefine the experience in event beverage services by shaking up the industry’s norm and creating a unique experience unlike any other.
Although these businesses happened somewhat simultaneously, it was never something I had imagined for myself. If you had asked me even just a couple of years ago where I would be today, never in a million years would I have believed it would be here. It just goes to show you what you can transform into by following your path and walking through every door that opens for you, no matter how small you think it may be.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It most certainly has not been a smooth road. I have faced more struggles, failures, and periods of doubt than I can count. Realizing that entrepreneurship is exactly what aligned with my heart and mind was so difficult for me to come to terms with. I was always so worried about what everyone around me would think and about failing, but finally, putting those thoughts of doubt out of my head and faith in myself was the best thing I have ever done. We are constantly changing and growing as humans, so why can’t we truly live out our lives and careers this same way?
Also, breaking into a brand new market in a commission-based sales career is not for the faint of heart. In real estate (and most sales jobs), they teach you to first reach out to all of your family and friends to let them know you are now providing these services – from this; you are bound to either get their business or from someone they know by word of mouth. I did not know a soul in both of my markets, Texas and Florida, as I did not grow up here. This forced me to put in so much extra work to establish myself and my businesses. Had I thrown in the towel while struggling to find leads while everyone around me seemed to be smooth sailing, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I am so thankful for the hard times I endured because they helped me grow so much as a professional and in my personal life.

Covid was a huge part of where I am today because it forced me to take a moment to reflect on my life and where my future was headed. It taught me to pivot and never put all my eggs in one basket. It helped me work towards the life I truly wanted for myself.
