Hi Alex, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After high school, I wasn’t exactly sure what direction I wanted to take. While I was giving myself time to figure it out, I started working—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made. I met my husband while working at Home Depot, and after we got married, I decided to follow my passion and enroll in cosmetology school.
I started doing hair because I loved helping people feel good about themselves. Over time, I built my clientele little by little, continued learning new techniques, and stayed consistent on social media to grow my small business. It’s been a journey fueled by hard work, passion, and a genuine love for the beauty industry—and I’m so proud of how far it’s come.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my biggest struggles has been finding balance between work and family. Being in this industry, it’s easy to pour so much of yourself into clients and business, but I’ve had to learn how to set boundaries and make time for family too.

I specialize in creating natural, lived-in looks through highlights and balayage, along with custom cuts that fit each client’s style and lifestyle.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5–10 years, I see myself opening my own salon and creating a space that’s not only beautiful but also welcoming and uplifting. I want it to be a place where clients feel truly taken care of and where other stylists can grow, learn, and thrive. My dream is to build more than just a salon—I want to create a community that reflects my passion for the industry and the people in it.
